Nike has released the 2015 US Women's National Team Home Kits for the upcoming World Cup in Canada. "Each piece of the kit – the jersey, shorts and socks – is constructed with recycled polyester, which is made from recycled plastic bottles that are melted down to produce fine yarn used to create the fabric. Each kit is made using an average of 18 recycled plastic bottles." says Nike.
The biggest change comes in the color scheme Nike and US Soccer decided to use white with black numbers and striping instead of the normal combination of Red, White, and Blue. We get some color when it comes to the socks and cleats, with a white-to-volt gradient in the socks to draw the eyes to the feet and the ball.
Located inside on the back of the neck 13 white stars are displayed on a blue triangle to give, a reference to the original U.S. colonies and the American flag. The two stars stitched above the U.S. Soccer crest signify the two World Cup victories in 1991 and 1999 by the USA.
