Missouri is honoring the Military this week with their Military Appreciation game. This Sunday will mark 100 years since the end of World War I, and in honor of this historic anniversary Mizzou Football will honor the 117 University of Missouri students who died while serving during World War I. The team will honor each of the fallen students by having each player wear the name of one of the fallen 117 on the backs of their jerseys. To finish off the look the Tigers will be wearing black helmets with a replica decal that is both sides of a service medal that was issued to all Missourians who served in World War I. The medal features the Missouri State Seal, with the inscription “War With Germany – 1917-1919.”
Notre Dame is set to take on Florida State this week. In honor of Senior Day the Fighting Irish will sport their Green Jerseys. To help make the announcement the team channeled their inner Rudy to ask coach Kelly. The Kelly green jerseys will be worn with the team’s gold pants and gold helmets.
UAB will honor the troops this week with their Salute to Service game. In honor of it being their Salute to Service game the team will wear an iced out all white look that will feature a stars and stripes UAB Dragon decal on either side of the helmets to embrace the patriotic look.
The Utah Utes will honor their beloved mascot, Swoop, this week with one of a kind hand painted helmets. The helmets will be a red base that features wings on either side hand painted on to resemble those of Swoop’s wings.
Iowa State is set to take on Baylor in their Week 11 showdown. The Cyclones will wear their Cardinal on Cardinal jersey and pants combination with their black helmet sitting atop of the uniform.
UCF is set to host Navy for their homecoming game this season. In honor of homecoming the Knights will wear a special throwback helmet. The black helmet will feature decals from the 1985 to 1994 seasons, with the old school block UCF letters on top of the state of Florida.
Florida Football and Basketball joined the Jordan brand from Nike this season and with that the Gators will sport the Jumpman logo on and off the field. Along with the uniforms and apparel the team also has installed their Jordan shoe display showing off Air Jordans I - XXX in exclusive Florida colorways.
Lafayette is set to honor veterans in a special way this week. The team will let their players select a veteran to honor by having their picture located on the inside of the Lafayette L on their helmets. This a unique way to show their appreciation for the people who have served.
The Wolfpack will rock their new blackout uniform this week. The black helmet will feature Tuffy on either side while the black jersey will have chrome numbers and stripes on the tops of the shoulders. Red accents and outlines will finish off the intimidating look for NC State.
