This weekend we will see the Colorado State Rams wearing a throwback uniform, taking it back to their Aggie roots by wearing the new green and Aggie orange jerseys. The school before being known as the rams went by the Aggies with the university itself being named Colorado A&M and was primarily an agricultural school, represented by a color palette of alfalfa green and “Aggie Orange”. The orange jerseys will feature the old school A on the shoulders with the team wearing their green helmets with Aggie orange ram horns and white pants with the Aggie A on the hip.
“Colors mean so much to the history of this university, and we wanted to pay tribute to the meaning of each hue when designing this uniform. The Aggie orange is a tribute to Colorado A&M’s historic color, pumpkin, and green is inspired by the school’s agricultural beginnings. There is a story at the heart of every detail of these uniforms.” - Nick Billiris, Senior Design Director of Team Sports at Under Armour
The Kansas City Chiefs are turning back the clocks and going retro in celebration of the franchise’s 60th season and the NFL’s 100th season. The Chiefs are set to host the Ravens in their home opener of the season and for the game we will see the team play on a retro painted field.
The retro look has the team’s ground crew going with the throwback gold end zones. These were the colors that were often seen at Municipal Stadium, from 1963-1971. As well as the 60th-anniversary helmet will be at midfield, replacing the Arrowhead logo. This will be the first time we see the Chiefs using gold end zones at Arrowhead Stadium.
NC State is preparing for a blackout game and with that comes special blackout uniforms. The pack will rock their black on black helmet that has the Tuffy head logo on either side. The black jersey will be highlighted with white letters, numbers, and shoulder stripes outlined in red. To complete the blackout look the team will go with their black pants that feature the Tuffy logo on the right hip. The uni combo gives a tough, intimidating look for NC State’s matchup against Ball State.
