Washington will honor the 1991 National Champion team with a special throwback uniform. This season will mark the 30th anniversary of the 1991 National Championship for Huskies. The throwback uniform features block numbers with the classic purple and white but has introduced a brighter shade of gold on the pants to tie back to the look of the 1991 uni. The helmet showcases the “Panting Dawg” on both sides as well as on the hip of the pants.

The Kansas Jayhawks will have special uniforms when they hit the field for their homecoming game this season. The alternate look has been named “Hail to Old KU”, paying tribute to the Kansas Comet era. The powder blue jersey features a bold Kansas wordmark across the chest with the Jayhawk’s head on the shoulder caps. The helmet features the Bowtie K logo on both sides from 1929. We also see the Bowtie K on the hip of the dark blue pants for the Jayhawks.

“The goal of the uniform was to accurately understand Kansas Football history and the characteristics that are associated with being a Jayhawk, such as Proud, Classic and Bold. The team was shown the uniform early Monday morning at a team meeting and expressed excitement to represent those who came before them against the Red Raiders in October.” - KUATHLETICS.com

The Texas Tech Red Raiders will wear special throwback unis this week when they take on TCU. The throwback look features a black helmet with the retro double T on each side. The black jersey has Texas Tech across the chest with retro shoulder stripes and retro mesh style numbers. To finish off the look the team will wear grey pants that have the retro double T on the left hip. Under Armour has taken it a step farther by adding their retro UA logo onto the uniform as well.

The helmet will be the traditional white shell with a black facemask, The Power T outlined in black and center stripe outlined in black. The Utah Utes have released a white edition of their throwback uniforms. The all white uniform features bold red numbers and stripes on the jersey with the retro UU logo on the sleeves. The Florida Gators will wear special throwback threads for homecoming this week. The blue jersey has bold orange and white shoulder stripes, white the white pants feature the same bold stripe down the sides but in orange and blue. The team will have a new helmet to go along with the the throwback look this year.
