The Arizona Wildcats have unveiled a special uniform for the game vs Utah. The Dress White military appreciation uniform features navy shoulders on the jersey with red digi camouflage numbers outlined in navy. A special “355th Fisher Wing” patch on the right shoulder will be displayed on each jersey. The helmet will have a Davis Montana Air Force Base decal on the back to finish off the look.

The Air Force Football team will honor the B-52 Stratofortress with this season’s Air Power Legacy Series uniform. The helmet design for the uniform are based off the B-52s that flew in Operation Linebacker II with a paint scheme of the Air Force SEA camo.

On the front right chest of the jersey is the Strategic Air Command patch. On the backs the name plate uses the orange outline with the airport codes for Andersen AFB, U Tapao and the 7th Bomber Wing patch to represent all former B-52 units.

The pants for the APLS uniform features two different design elements with the left pant leg features 11 B-52 plane silhouettes representing the 11 days of bombing during the conflict. While the right-side of the pant leg has the tail flash of the plane as well as the number on each player’s pant leg that matches their uniform number.

We will see the Falcons debut the special APLS uniform vs Navy on the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

The Hawaii football team will take the field in special uniforms that were designed to honor the 80th anniversary of the attack at Pearl Harbor and are dedicated to the 1941 UH football team, which saw its season come to an end.

“Inspired by the untold story of the 1941 University of Hawai'i football team who went 8-1 during their season. As great as their season was, the team showed their true special character during the month of December as the team started in on their remaining games against the powerhouses of the west coast, Willamette, and San Jose State in the Shrine Bowl Classic. The day after the big win over Willamette, the events of Pearl Harbor started, and the college football players ended their weekend enrolled into the armed forces as sentries/watchmen stationed at the nearby high school. With games canceled and their minds on the safety of the islands and the United States, the team showed that they were more than just students and football players, but proud members of the country and would do anything asked of them to protect it. This Strategy Uniform is dedicated to that 1941 team and all those lost in the events at Pearl Harbor 80 years ago.” -Hawaii Athletics

The uniform features a special numeric font that was inspired by the 1941 team uniform. Stars on the shoulders of the jersey represent the unity of America during that time. Running down the sides of the pants is the quote "…Will live in Infamy" referencing the famous quote, from the days after Pearl Harbor that memorializes the fallen. The final touch comes on the right hip with the date of the attack at Pearl Harbor.

The Dallas Cowboys will have a red stripe on the their helmets this week. The subtle change honors the U.S. military and the country's National Medal of Honor recipients. This is not the first time the Cowboys have done this with their helmets, during the 1976 season they sported the look to commemorate the United States' bicentennial.
