This move marks a significant departure from tradition, as it will be the first time in over seven decades that the Browns will don a non-orange helmet.
The white alternate helmet represents a revival of a cherished aesthetic worn by the Browns during their early years. The decision to reintroduce this iconic look was driven by the desire to honor the team's past and pay homage to the celebrated players who once donned white helmets.
The anticipation for this remarkable uniform change will reach its peak during three carefully selected games in the 2023 season. This high-profile event will allow fans nationwide to witness the revival of this historic aesthetic. Subsequently, the Browns will proudly wear their white alternate helmets in Week 6 against the 49ers and again in Week 17 against the Jets on Thursday Night Football. The latter game will serve as the final home regular season game of the season, adding an extra layer of significance to the occasion.
JW Johnson, Executive Vice President and Partner of the Browns, expressed his enthusiasm about the alternate helmets and their significance. "We're super fired up and really excited to have this opportunity to wear an alternate helmet," Johnson exclaimed. He further elaborated on the rationale behind the choice, emphasizing that it not only connects to the team's past but also aligns with fan preferences. The Browns' commitment to exceptional fan interaction and delivering on fan expectations remains at the forefront of their decisions.

Get ready, West Virginia Mountaineers fans, because there's a new jersey in town that's bound to capture your attention. This year's ‘Country Roads’ jersey will showcase a vibrant gold hue, a departure from last season's white look.
The centerpiece of the jersey is the "MOUNTAINEERS" lettering, boldly displayed in capital blue letters across the chest. It's a visual representation of the team's spirit and pride in their identity. Notably, this jersey replaces the previous year's "WEST VIRGINIA" wordmark, reflecting a fresh approach to their style. The collar, following Nike's latest template, is rendered in a striking blue hue, and it features the West Virginia logo at its base, adding an extra touch of team identity. The jersey numbers themselves hold a captivating surprise. A sublimated roadmap of the state of West Virginia adorns the numbers, much like the previous ‘Country Roads’ alternate design. This subtle yet meaningful addition pays homage to the team's roots and connection with the state.
Turn your attention to the inside of the collar, and you'll find the words "CUE COUNTRY ROADS." This slogan serves as a unifying force, a reminder of the journey the team and fans embark on together. It's a nod to the iconic John Denver song that holds deep significance to the West Virginia community. The sleeves of the jersey feature the same sublimated state roadmap as seen in the numbers.
So, get ready to witness the Mountaineers take the field in their striking gold jerseys, ready to make a statement and leave their mark on the upcoming season. It's more than just a uniform; it's a symbol of unity, pride, and the shared passion for West Virginia football.

Tennessee football fans have something special to look forward to in the 2023 home opener on Saturday, September 9th, when the Vols face off against Austin Peay. The team has just unveiled its all-new "Artful Dodger" Smokey Grey Uniforms, and they're set to make a statement both on and off the field.
In partnership with Nike, Tennessee made an exciting announcement last year. the Vols would introduce a fresh Smokey Grey uniform design each season, beginning in 2023 and continuing through at least 2025. These uniforms are a nod to tradition with a modern twist, and the 2023 edition carries a special significance.
This year's design pays homage to a true Tennessee legend, Condredge Holloway, who graced the Vols with his presence from 1971 to 1974. Holloway, affectionately known as "The Artful Dodger," made history during his time at Tennessee by becoming the first Black player to start as a quarterback for an SEC program. His impact on the sport and his university is immeasurable, and these uniforms are a fitting tribute to his legacy.
Tennessee Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics, Danny White, shared his excitement, saying, "When we arrived on Rocky Top, one of our primary goals was to honor our storied tradition with a modern twist. This year’s Smokey Grey uniform does just that; it pays homage to a Tennessee legend and the first African American quarterback in the SEC, Condredge Holloway, but is a modern look for our current student-athletes. I can’t wait to see our team run through the T on Sept. 9 in the home opener in the Smokey Grey uniform, on the 51st anniversary of Condredge’s first start as a Vol."
The "Artful Dodger" Smokey Grey Uniforms continue the tradition of iconic Vols uniforms. Holloway's teams sported white road uniforms with prominent orange shoulders, and the new grey uniforms proudly feature the same design element. But that's not all. These uniforms also bring back the painted Smoky Mountain motif on the helmet, a vintage-inspired grey face mask, a thin orange helmet stripe, and classic double stripes on the pants.
As Tennessee football evolves and pays tribute to its rich history, these "Artful Dodger" Smokey Grey Uniforms are more than just uniforms. They're symbols of progress, inclusivity, and the enduring legacy of athletes like Condredge Holloway who paved the way for generations of Vols to come.
