Navy Football Reveals Limited-Edition Team Issue Game Ball Honoring the Navy’s Origins

Navy Football and Big Game Football Factory have teamed up to create one of the most meaningful game balls ever produced for the Army–Navy rivalry. Inspired by the Navy’s earliest beginnings and the iconic USS Constitution, this Limited-Edition Team Issue game ball brings 250 years of naval legacy straight to the gridiron.

With only a select number produced, this handcrafted piece stands as both a performance-ready football and a historical artifact, one that captures the pride, grit, and heritage of Navy Football.

The design is rooted in the history of the United States Navy’s six original frigates, led by the legendary USS Constitution, better known as Old Ironsides. Launched in 1797, the ship earned its nickname after enemy cannonballs bounced off its sturdy hull during battle, marking it as a symbol of unmatched toughness and resilience. More than two centuries later, it remains undefeated in battle and continues to serve as a proud representation of American naval strength.

That same fighting spirit is embodied in this limited-edition game ball, which will make its official on-field debut when Navy takes on Army on December 13, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland.

This isn’t just a football. It’s a tribute to Navy heritage, crafted with intention from lace to leather. The custom design was built in direct collaboration with the Midshipmen, ensuring that every feature connects back to the Academy, the fleet, and the mission.

The lace system tells a powerful story. Each lace includes six red stripes representing the Navy’s six original frigates. Surrounding the laces, an intricate rope pattern includes 63 knots on each side, a total of 126 knots, honoring Navy’s 63 victories in the 126 historical matchups against Army. Even the iconography pulls directly from the USS Constitution, including the eagle emblem from the ship’s stern, six symbolic stars, and touches of copper reflecting the ship’s lower hull.

The material profile is equally premium. Made with red Horween leather, clutch stripes, white and red KR19 laces, and the unmistakable NAVY badge, this ball brings authenticity and craftsmanship together in a way that reflects both the Naval Academy and the history behind it.

Each football is handcrafted in the United States by Big Game Football Factory using top-grade American leather, reinforcing the connection between tradition, quality, and pride. Every ball also arrives with a Certificate of Authenticity, preserving its value as a true collector’s item.

Produced in limited quantities, this piece of Navy Football history won’t last long. Secure yours today and own a tangible tribute to the Navy’s proud legacy and relentless spirit.

Army Football Unveils Limited-Edition 250th Anniversary Nike Vapor Elite Game Ball

In a moment that bridges history, honor, and the gridiron, Army Football and Nike have unveiled a limited-edition 250th Anniversary Nike Vapor Elite game ball, handcrafted by Big Game Football Factory to commemorate the U.S. Army’s 250 years of unwavering service and sacrifice.

This exclusive football will make its on-field debut on December 13, 2025, when Army faces Navy in Baltimore, Maryland, serving as both a game-day symbol and a tribute to the men and women who have defended our nation since 1775.

Every element of this handcrafted game ball reflects the Army’s legacy of strength, loyalty, and integrity, a tangible reminder of the values that have guided Soldiers for generations.

The Great Seal of the United States and 1775 graphic commemorate the Army’s founding, marking the moment when the Continental Congress established America’s first service branch and united the 13 colonies under one mission. The marble-print Nike Swoosh represents foundation and unity, a symbol of strength that, like marble, endures pressure and grows stronger over time. This design cue pays homage to the marble monuments and headstones that commemorate generations of Soldiers who gave their all for freedom.

Surrounding the design is a purple outline inspired by the Badge of Military Merit (the original Purple Heart), representing the honor and sacrifice of those wounded in service. Completing the look, the words “United States Army” appear in Constitution-inspired black lettering, linking today’s Soldiers to the founding ideals they swear to uphold and defend.

Crafted in the USA by Big Game Football Factory, this limited-edition game ball blends premium American leather with heritage-inspired detailing, including raised overlay stripes, white pebbled laces, and precision stitching for elite-level performance. It is a true fusion of craftsmanship and symbolism, designed to honor 250 years of Army heritage. The custom Army design highlights the Great Seal and 1775 graphic, while the marble-print Swoosh and purple outline reinforce unity, loyalty, and sacrifice. Every football includes a Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring each piece is recognized as a collector’s item built with pride in the USA.

From West Point to the world, this football stands as a testament to the Soldiers, families, and generations who have dedicated themselves to the defense of freedom.

Tennessee Unveils 'Volunteer Spirit' Smokey Grey Uniform

Tennessee Football is once again blending tradition, state pride, and service into the fabric of its game-day look with the unveiling of the 2025 edition of its Smokey Grey Series. This year’s theme, “Volunteer Spirit,” pays homage to the deep-rooted legacy of military service within the state of Tennessee, while honoring the brave individuals who have answered the call to protect and serve.

Set to debut on November 15, 2025, when the Volunteers host New Mexico State for their annual Salute to Service game, the uniform celebrates the backbone of the Tennessee identity: the spirit of service and sacrifice.

The “Volunteer Spirit” design draws on centuries of tradition, starting with one of Tennessee’s most legendary figures—Davy Crockett. Known as the “ultimate Volunteer,” Crockett and more than 30 Tennesseans gave their lives at the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. That legacy lives on in what Tennessee Football proudly wears on the field.

Prominent in the design is “The Davy Stripe”, a stylized take on Crockett’s famous fringed frontier uniform. It runs alongside the bold orange center stripe on the helmet and lines the sleeves of the jersey, adding a nod to Tennessee’s frontier past and military valor.

The uniform features a two-tone Smokey grey jersey and pant set, evoking the forged steel and tactical precision of military equipment. The stencil-style numbers on the chest, shoulders, and helmet echo standard military typography, while the word “Volunteers” is stitched boldly across the chest—a statement of both heritage and honor.

The helmet and pants also feature the return of the fan-favorite “Star Vols” logo, this time reimagined as a military-style patch, connecting Tennessee’s football identity with a respectful nod to our nation’s service members.

A custom Tennessee Tri-Star logo honoring the 134th Air Refueling Wing was created specifically for this edition, serving as a visual bridge between the state’s identity and its military strength.

This marks the fourth version of the Smokey Grey Series, a tradition launched in 2022. From the “OG” debut at LSU, to 2023’s “Artful Dodger” tribute to Condredge Holloway, and 2024’s “Volunteer State” uniform inspired by the Tri-Star flag, each edition has told a meaningful story.

Tulane Unveils 'City Edition' Uniform

Tulane Football is taking its hometown pride to a whole new level. The Green Wave revealed their City Edition uniform and a stunning hand-painted helmet that the team will wear for this year’s Homecoming game on Saturday, November 15. These special-edition looks celebrate the culture, history, and unmistakable spirit of the Crescent City.

The centerpiece of this year’s City Edition release is the hand-painted helmet, created by renowned artist Armando Villarreal. The Tulane helmet captures the essence of New Orleans. The light gray base features cracked detailing inspired by the city’s historic sidewalks, while the street tile font spelling “Tulane” on each side pays homage to the city’s iconic signage. Hand-painted Mardi Gras beads wrap around the shell, giving each helmet its own unique personality; no two are exactly alike. A wrought iron-inspired stripe runs across the top, echoing the elegant designs found throughout New Orleans architecture. Even the back warning label nods to the Sewerage & Water Board logo, adding a hidden touch only locals will recognize. The front bumper completes the look, boldly reading “Uptown” in tribute to the home of Tulane Football.

The uniform complements the helmet’s artistry with equally thoughtful design details. The Tulane blue jersey features wrought iron accents on the shoulders, paired with white pants that carry matching striping down the sides. Player names are displayed in authentic New Orleans-style street tiles, and inside the collar, a hidden message reads “Welcome to Uptown,” a phrase synonymous with Green Wave Football. These City Edition uniforms and helmets will be worn only once, making them true collector’s items. Fans can secure their own through the Wave Warehouse, with items shipping after the November 15 Homecoming game. Every purchase helps fund NIL opportunities and support the next generation of Tulane student-athletes.

From the cracked sidewalks to the Mardi Gras beads, every inch of this design tells a story of creativity, culture, and community. This isn’t just a uniform; it’s a love letter to New Orleans.
