JMU Brings the Marvel Universe to the Gridiron for Collegiate Super Hero Day
Jmu football is gearing up for a game day unlike any other. On November 22, the Dukes will take the field against Washington State wearing superhero-themed helmets as part of the first-ever collegiate Marvel Super Hero Day, blending college football tradition with the energy and creativity of the Marvel Universe.
For the matchup, JMU’s helmets will feature a one-of-a-kind design that merges school identity with Marvel flair. One side of the helmet retains the classic JMU block logo, while the other showcases a Marvel hero of each player’s choice with five icons to pick from: Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Black Panther.
Each helmet’s design captures the spirit of teamwork, courage, and strength, qualities shared by both football players and superheroes. It’s a fitting tribute as the Dukes prepare for one of their most unique home games ever.
