New Uniforms for the Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have officially unveiled their long-awaited uniform redesign, ushering in a fresh look that honors tradition while signaling a bold new chapter for the franchise. The reveal capped months of speculation and fan discussion, positioning the team’s visual identity alongside an offseason of broader organizational changes.

Most notably, the Titans have retired their longtime flame logo, replacing it with a new emblem dubbed “The Shield”. The updated mark integrates the iconic Tennessee tri-star, a symbol from the state flag, into a modernized crest that blends the franchise’s heritage with a forward-looking aesthetic.

The redesign isn’t just cosmetic. It represents a broader identity reset for a franchise eager to move past recent struggles and reframe its narrative both on and off the field.

The Titans’ signature light blue, known as “Titans Blue,” takes center stage as the primary home jersey color. The shade is deeply rooted in the franchise’s history and resonates strongly with fans who associate it with the team’s identity. The move continues a shift that began in 2025 when the organization officially made Titans Blue its default home color, signaling a renewed emphasis on one of the franchise’s most recognizable visual elements.

The helmet has also received a clean new look. A white helmet shell paired with a white facemask creates a sharp contrast against the light blue jersey, giving the overall uniform a brighter and more modern feel. The newly introduced shield logo sits prominently on the side of the helmet, further reinforcing the team’s updated branding.

Across the chest of the jerseys, the Titans introduced a redesigned wordmark to replace the previous lettering style. The new typography is rendered in a serif font inspired by Tennessee’s woodblock printing heritage, adding a subtle but meaningful connection to the region’s history and craftsmanship while giving the uniform a distinct sense of place.

Additional design details help tie the entire look together. The distinctive “6-String Stripe,” a reference to Nashville’s deep musical roots, runs down the pants and appears on the sleeves and helmet elements. Other features, including the Tennessee tri-star and specialized collar tabs, further reinforce the team’s regional identity and the cultural inspiration behind the redesign.

The uniform redesign strikes a balance between honoring the franchise’s historical roots, including visual cues tied to both Titans and Oilers lineage, and embracing a contemporary direction. The shift toward Titans blue leans into fan favorite traditions, while the refreshed logo and wordmark create a unique identity that sets the 2026 look apart from anything worn before.
