Boise State Extends Nike Contract

Boise State and Nike have extended their contract through 2024-25 season. The contract extension both parties have agreed upon is valued at an average of more than $2 million per year, nearly doubles what the Broncos received in the previous contract with Nike.

“Continuing our partnership with Nike was a top priority for us,” Apsey said. “Nike has played a major role in the success of Boise State Athletics, and I’m excited to continue a relationship between what we feel are two innovative, forward-thinking brands. Our coaches were overwhelmingly in support of moving forward with Nike.”

It will be interesting to see what uniforms the two parties come up with for the next few years.

New Unis for NC State Football

NC State released the athletic department's NEW WORDMARKS a few months ago giving us a heads up that new uniforms were on the way. We get our first look at the new uniforms that the Wolfpack will take the football field in for the upcoming season. The team now has 3 color options for helmets, jerseys, and pants to choose from; red, white and black. The new NC State mark is found across the chest of all of the uniforms with Wolfpack going down the leg. It looks like all the helmets will feature TUFFY the wolf mascot on each side that has quickly become a fan favorite. A new shoulder and collar design has been added to the jersey templates as well giving the Wolfpack a new, distinct look. I am sure we will see a few alternate uniforms added to the mix this season as well.

Empire Challenge All-Star Helmets

The 23rd Annual Empire Challenge will kick off June 15th and we took a look at the special helmets for each team. The Empire Challenge is an all-star game that takes the best Long Island high school football players and plays them against the best New York high school players. Over the past few years, the helmets that were created for this game have been really unique and eye-catching. This year we see the same, as both sides have a very loud and unique color scheme that just draws your attention. The Long Island team helmet is a satin blue shell with a nickel chrome facemask and the team's orange anchor logo on each side. For Team New York they went with a matte grey to red fade starting on the facemask and fading to the back of the helmet. On either side of the helmet is a chrome silhouette of the Statue of Liberty's head.

Denver Broncos Alternate Uniforms

The Denver Broncos submitted the dates in which the team will wear alternate uniforms for the 2018-19 season. The magic number is three, we will see the Broncos in an alternate look three times this coming season. The team has opted to wear their all orange Color Rush Uniform at home for the first time. Each of the past two season the team has been on the road when deciding to put on the all orange look. Bronco fans will get their chance to see the orange look during Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This season the NFL is allowing teams to be able to wear or not wear their Color Rush uniforms for any game during the season, no longer Thursday Night games only.

We will also see Denver hit the field in another alternate look two more times in this coming season. The team will wear the blue jerseys with either blue or white pants at home in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs and Week 15 against the Cleveland Browns.

Josh Rosen Signs with adidas

adidas announces the signing of Josh Rosen, QB standout and first-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals. adidas plans for Rosen to play a key role in future brand and marketing campaigns and collaborate on the design and creation of future football products and training apparel.

“adidas has this perfect fusion of sports and culture and I’m excited to be a part of the adidas family,” said Rosen. “I really felt this was the perfect fit for me. adidas challenges the status quo and they seek to inspire others to create on and off the field.”

Rosen has been a big advocate for the preservation of the environment and protecting the oceans has become a passion for Rosen.

"In 2015, adidas announced a partnership with Parley for the Oceans, an environmental organization dedicated to raising awareness about the beauty and fragility of the oceans and to collaborating on projects that can end their destruction. Since then, adidas has supported Parley in both its educations and communication programs, whilst pioneering creative eco-innovations like Parley Ocean Plasticâ and transforming it into high-performance sportswear. In 2017 adidas sold over one million pairs of shoes made from reclaimed ocean plastics. Each pair of adidas x Parley shoes prevents approximately 11 plastic bottles from the possibility of entering our oceans." - adidas

“I have a lot of admiration for adidas partnering with Parley to both raise awareness for the preservation of our oceans and to help create a solution to affect positive change,” said Rosen. “In addition to partnering with adidas on the field, I just knew that this was something I had to be a part of off the field.”

New Facilities for Northwestern

Northwestern has constructed a state of the art $270 million athletic facility that has surpassed any other facility in the nation. The Ryan Fieldhouse and Walter Athletics Center has 45-foot floor to ceiling windows that run all the way around the practice field that overlooks Lake Michigan's shores.

The 425,000 square feet facility will be home to not only football but 5 other varsity teams and will serve as the hub for the department’s administration, medical care and academic services and also host intramurals and campus events.

Ryan Fieldhouse's dome shape was created for football punting and kicking trajectories, with the top of the dome reaching 87 feet above the turf field. Maximizing its location on the shores of Lake Michigan, the facility features glass façade providing clear views to the north and east. The fieldhouse is flanked by sports performance spaces for football and Olympic sports.

Colts #NOBStrong Shirts

The Indianapolis Colts took the field for practice Wednesday wearing shirts supporting the local community of Noblesville that was shaken by last week's school shooting. Players and coaches wore the "Noblesville Strong" shirts during the team's workout and employees got in on the action by wearing them around the complex. The team says proceeds from shirt sales will be donated to Seaman and Ella Whistler, who were both injured in the shooting.
