THE 2018-19 COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON IS UNDERWAY AND WITH A NEW SEASON COMES THE UNISWAG WEEKLY COUNTDOWN. EACH WEEK UNISWAG WILL PRESENT THE TOP 10 UNIFORMS FROM THE WEEK LEADING UP TO THE #1 UNISWAG UNIFORM OF THE WEEK. THIS YEAR THE UNISWAG UNIFORM OF THE WEEK IS PRESENTED BY TEAM ISSUE AND THE WINNING TEAM EACH WEEK WILL BE AWARDED A CUSTOM FOOTBALL TO PROUDLY PUT ON DISPLAY.
MISSISSIPPI STATE FOOTBALL HONORS WWII HERO SONNY MONTGOMERY with these special ‘Statesman’ uniforms. The bulldogs special uniforms are inspired by the C17 plane named in Montgomery’s honor, “The Spirit of Sonny Montgomery.” The light onyx color on the uniform is meant resembles the outer metal shell of the C17 plane. The font on the letters and numbers closely match the writing on “The Spirit of Sonny Montgomery.” The team will wear special hand painted helmets to match the outside of the C17 as well as featuring military medals. We will see these special unis hit the field on Senior Day against Arkansas on November 17.
Notre Dame and Under Armour has rolled out the 2018 Shamrock Series uniform we will see the Fighting Irish take the field at Yankee Stadium in. The theme for Notre Dame this year is pinstripes, paying homage to the Yankees. The base of the uniform is navy blue with both the helmet and jersey being navy color, the helmet gets a special pinstripe circle decal with the ND laid within and gold speckles on the facemask. The jerseys feature a pinstriped shoulder pattern with Notre Dame spelled out in cursive across the chest matching the same font as the Yankees. The same pinstripe from the shoulders is found on the pants giving the team the same look as the Yankees have when they take the field in their pinstripe uniforms. The accessories for the Shamrock Series embrace the pinstriping as well with the gloves having the stripes on the palms and the cleats having the pinstripes start at the bottom and come up. The overall look is a great nod to the Yankees and Notre Dame will definitely look like the home team come November 17th.
The Willie Taggart era at Florida State will start with the Seminoles coming out in their black alternate uniforms this week. Taggart has gone on the record saying that we will see some different uni combos for Florida State this season and right out the gate he delivers. The helmets are a garnet coloring that fades down into black with gold masks. The uniform is the same design we see the Seminoles hit the field in with their normal uniforms but the black jersey will feature gold numbers and garnet tribal patterns on the sleeves. To finish off the look the black jerseys will be paired with garnet pants.
The Miami Hurricanes are breaking out their all black ‘Miami Nights’ uniforms. The team has paired their black helmet with the Miami U on both sides with their black jersey and black pants combo. We see the jersey feature white numbers outlined in orange and green and orange shoulder stripes.
Texas Tech is going with a full on red out this week. The Red Raiders will wear red helmets with their red jersey and pants combo. The red helmets will have the traditional decals with the locked double T and center stripe.

Missouri is honoring the Military this week with their Military Appreciation game. This Sunday will mark 100 years since the end of World War I, and in honor of this historic anniversary Mizzou Football will honor the 117 University of Missouri students who died while serving during World War I. The team will honor each of the fallen students by having each player wear the name of one of the fallen 117 on the backs of their jerseys. To finish off the look the Tigers will be wearing black helmets with a replica decal that is both sides of a service medal that was issued to all Missourians who served in World War I. The medal features the Missouri State Seal, with the inscription “War With Germany – 1917-1919.”
Notre Dame is set to take on Florida State this week. In honor of Senior Day the Fighting Irish will sport their Green Jerseys. To help make the announcement the team channeled their inner Rudy to ask coach Kelly. The Kelly green jerseys will be worn with the team’s gold pants and gold helmets.
UAB will honor the troops this week with their Salute to Service game. In honor of it being their Salute to Service game the team will wear an iced out all white look that will feature a stars and stripes UAB Dragon decal on either side of the helmets to embrace the patriotic look.
