When the #1 overall pick Kyler Murray hit the stage to accept his Cardinals jersey from the Commissioner he was rocking a custom 1-of-1 pair of shoes. Nike created the 1-of-1 custom PE Air Jordan 1 Lows with full patent leather that featured a pink embroidered Swoosh and a green light post embroidered on the heel. The light post was a nod to Kyler’s favorite movie, The Great Gatsby. To finish off the one of a kind pair of kicks the tongue showed off the Nike K1 logo along with the 2019 NFL Draft. We will keep you posted as Nike’s newest superstars rolls out more unique swag.
The NFL Draft is right around the corner and we will see the new wave of players drafted to their new teams. As they cross the stage dressed to impress the players will be given this year’s Draft Hat before they reach Roger Goodell to pose for some photos. As this season marks the 100th season of the NFL the theme that was created for the hats is centered around each team’s local flag. On the backs of each hat we will see the NFL 100 logo as well as the flag that inspired the design of each hat will be found on the inside.
“This idea as we go through to celebrate the past of the NFL and innovation of where it’s moving, we really wanted to start with where the game began within each local community. It’s a unique way to say this is where we started, this is who we are, this is what we’re about, this is the community we represent. At the same time it tells a separate story of welcoming a new member into that community. Really trying to tell this message of this is where we’re going, this is who we represent and welcome into the community.” - Ryan DiNunzio, New Era’s director of football
So far all teams have released their hat except for the New York Jets who are about to unveil their new logo and uniform this week.

Nike has released their newest line of football cleats that include the Nike Alpha Menace Elite 2, Nike Force Savage Elite 2, and the Nike Vapor Untouchable 3. The Nike Alpha Menace Elite 2 cleats are built for those multidirectional athletes such as Saquon Barkley and Russell Wilson. The cleat features a midfoot strap with TPU yarns in the forefoot to protect the feet from getting stepped on.
The Nike Force Savage Elite 2, has been designed for players in the trenches like Khalil Mack. The cleat comes with a redesigned cleat plate for optimal comfort and traction. Oregon State football has released their new uniforms for the upcoming season. The Beavers drew inspiration from the tall trees that surround the campus and the stories that have. Within the numbers we see a ring pattern that is seen on the inside of the tree that tells its story. The tops of the shoulders show off a stripe that continues down both sides of the pants. The team introduced three color options with a full black, orange, and “Natural” an off white uniform combinations that will allow them to mix and match throughout the season. The black helmet was the only helmet introduced with all three looks and features the Oregon State Beaver logo on each side with a solid orange stripe down the middle. It will be interesting to see if Oregon State has some alternate helmets to throw in this season.
The Los Angeles Chargers revealed that their iconic powder blue jerseys will serve as their primary home uniform in 2019. To accompany the powder blue look, the Chargers will also wear the gold facemask that we most recently saw them rock with their color rush uniform. The Chargers were actually the first team in NFL history to wear a colored facemask when they first took the field with them on their blue helmet back in 1974.
“The powders are NICE! There’s just something special when you put them on. You get a whole different feeling. A whole different vibe. Seeing that powder blue in the stadium and all your brothers wearing it, it’s a great feeling. Knowing we’re wearing that more is exciting…. Before I even came to the Chargers I knew about the powder blues. When I came out here and got to put it on, it’s an honor. You hear it around the nation – the powder blues are the best in sports. So getting to wear them more, it feels like we get to turn up more.” - All-Pro safety Adrian Phillips

West Virginia Football introduced the next chapter for their football uniforms. The Mountaineers are not straying much from their traditional look with Blue and Gold. The team will don the Nike Vapor Untouchable uniform chassis in 2019. This template gives the Mountaineers an improved fit and functionally, reduced seams and grab points, shaped inseams, seamless fronts and shoulders to help leverage speed, improved moisture absorption and better all-around comfort. West Virginia will return to four color options for their jerseys and pants to choose from for the upcoming season. After spending the past six seasons only using three colors of jerseys and pants the color gray has returned to the lineup with gray jersey and pants combo that last appeared in game action back in 2012. The 2019 version for football will be Nike's Steel Gray colorway and is a tribute to the toughness of the hard-working people in the state of West Virginia and the strength that all Mountaineers possess.
"The opportunity for Nike to work with a tradition-rich program like West Virginia is very exciting," Nike Senior Director, College Sports Marketing, Kit Morris said. "The history and success of the Mountaineers provide much to inspire us as we continue to seek to become better together. There is no finish line."
