Boston College Men's Basketball Red Bandanna Uniform

Boston College has released the new uniform for the men’s basketball team. The basketball team will now have a Red bandanna uniform to wear on the hardwood. The special look honors the legacy of BC Lacrosse ALUMNI, Welles CROWTHER who LOST HIS LIFE ON 9/11 WHILE RESCUING PEOPLE STUCK IN THE SOUTH TOWER OF THE WORLD TRADE CENTER. THOUGH HE LOST HIS LIFE, HE is REMEMBERED AS THE MAN IN THE "RED BANDANNA," WHICH CROWTHER USED TO HELP HIM BREATHE through THE SMOKE. IN THE END HE SAVED 18 PEOPLE FROM THE TOWER.

The special uniform features the Boston College wordmark on top and bottom of the player’s number, just like the style that was used on the Boston College lacrosse jerseys Welles played in. The side panel on the jersey and running into the shorts features the paisley bandanna print in red. On the right chest each player will wear a number 19 patch, Welles lacrosse number. while the final touch comes on the back in the place of each player’s name will be ‘FOR WELLES’ on the backs each players jersey.
