Phillies Reveal Vintage-Inspired Uniforms for MLB at Field of Dreams Game

The Philadelphia Phillies are going back in time. With the MLB at Field of Dreams game between the Phillies and Minnesota Twins fast approaching, fans got their first look at the special uniforms Philadelphia will wear for the matchup in Dyersville, Iowa.

Inspired by the uniforms worn by the Phillies from 1939-41, Philadelphia's gray road uniforms feature a red “Phillies” script across the chest that angles upward. The wordmark is outlined in navy blue, creating a classic vintage look that feels right at home in the Field of Dreams setting.

The retro details continue throughout the uniform. Red and navy striping wraps around the collar and sleeves, while additional striping runs down the center of the jersey and along the sides of the gray pants.

The Phillies' sleeve patch is a replica of the one worn by the team in 1939, commemorating what was then believed to be baseball's 100th anniversary from 1839-1939.

Completing the look is a navy blue cap featuring a bold red “P” in the team's historic font, along with navy blue socks.

Philadelphia's Field of Dreams uniform is a strong throwback to one of the earliest eras in franchise history, bringing a clean vintage look to one of baseball's most nostalgic events.
