St. John's Men's Basketball Throwback Uniform

The St. John's men's basketball team is set to make a bold statement on the court as they reveal their latest throwback uniform collection for the upcoming BIG EAST showdown against Marquette. Scheduled for a prime-time debut on FOX at 12 p.m., these custom Nike jerseys pay homage to the iconic 1994-95 season and promise a trip down memory lane for fans.

Inspired by the original Red Storm jersey worn during the memorable 1994-95 season, the new uniforms showcase the timeless red and yellow 'St. John's' word mark across the chest. This distinctive design, previously featured on the Sports Illustrated cover on Nov. 28, 1994, catapulted Red Storm Hall of Famer Felipe Lopez into the national spotlight, marked by the headline 'The BIG EAST is Back.'

Adding a touch of symbolism, the throwback jerseys boast a custom design down the side reminiscent of the vintage skyline pattern seen on the original shorts. On the opposite side, the shorts proudly display the first Red Storm logo, featuring the iconic horse named 'Thunder' alongside lightning bolt motifs.

To complete the immersive experience, a custom court design will accompany the throwback uniforms on Saturday, paying tribute to the Red Storm's original visual identity. This unique ensemble promises not only a thrilling game but a visual feast for fans eager to celebrate the rich history of St. John's basketball.
