The Brooklyn Nets have paired bold basketball moves with equally bold fashion statements. Since their move from New Jersey to Brooklyn in 2012, the Nets have embraced culture and creativity on the hardwood. Over the years, they’ve worked with collaborators ranging from KAWS to Jean-Michel Basquiat’s estate to deliver some of the league’s most memorable uniforms.
Now, the team is reviving one of its most beloved looks: the Notorious B.I.G.-inspired “Brooklyn Camo” jerseys, originally worn during the 2018-19 season.
The “Brooklyn Camo” design features Coogi-inspired multicolored striping down the sides, a nod to the legendary rapper’s signature style. The look was created in partnership with Biggie’s estate and quickly became a cult favorite, though limited production made them tough to find the first time around.
This season, the uniform is returning as part of the NBA’s new Remix program, which brings back some of the most popular City Edition jerseys from past years. For the Nets, the decision was easy. “We get constant requests from fans to bring back these uniforms,” said Andrew Karson, head of marketing for the Nets’ parent company, Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. With demand never fading, the return of “Brooklyn Camo” feels like a natural fit.
The Nets are going all-in on celebrating Biggie’s legacy this season. Alongside the uniforms, the team will debut a custom court to match the theme, and the estate of the Notorious B.I.G. is helping organize a series of “Biggie Nights.” These games will feature halftime performances by artists with ties to Brooklyn or to Biggie himself, deepening the connection between the team, the borough, and its most iconic voice.
“Biggie is the loudest, coolest Brooklyn voice ever,” said Elliot Osagie, CEO and founder of Benin City Entertainment, which manages Biggie’s estate. By tying their brand to the late rap legend, the Nets continue to ground their identity in the borough they represent on and off the court.

The Washington Wizards have revealed their 2025-26 City Edition uniform. The team will debut the look on Sunday, November 16, when they host the Brooklyn Nets at Capital One Arena.
This year’s Encore City Edition pays homage to the Wizards’ iconic gold alternates worn between 2006 and 2009, while pushing the design forward through the 2021 Mixtape Edition chassis. Featuring a bold black and gold colorway, the uniform captures the energy of the mid-2000s while symbolizing the monuments lit across D.C. at night.
“Uniforms using the gold and black colorway has been a request from the fans as well as players since the City Edition concept debuted years ago,” said Rebecca Winn, Sr. Vice President of Wizards Marketing. “When Nike directed us to remix a former City Edition, we immediately thought of the classic Wizards uniform first worn in 2006. We think this version will look great on the team and on the court and the fans will be excited about the uniform and accompanying merchandise offerings as well.”
The jersey features reimagined striping across the shoulders and chest, echoing the 2006-2009 design with a modern twist. “Washington” is spelled across the front in the standard Wizards font, anchored by the silhouette of the Washington Monument. A sharp black outline runs along the neckline, shoulders, and numbers, contrasting against the gold base.
The shorts continue the theme with black side panels and waistband, accented by interior gold. The belt buckle showcases a revamped Wizards ball logo that blends retro inspiration with modern flair. On the left leg, the “DMV” insignia makes its return, symbolizing the unity of D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. The right side features the D.C. hands logo in white with a gold outline, framing the gold basketball against a black backdrop.
Alongside the uniform, the Wizards will also roll out a matching City Edition court that will be used during all City Edition games. Fans can expect to see the team wear this look 29 times throughout the season, cementing the black-and-gold as a staple of the Wizards’ identity for 2025-26.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have always embraced community pride, and this season, they’re taking that commitment to a deeper level. The team revealed its 2025-26 Nike NBA City Edition Uniform, a design rooted in Native American culture and Oklahoma’s Indigenous heritage. The uniform will make its on-court debut on November 19, when the Thunder host the Sacramento Kings on Native American Heritage Night at Paycom Center.
The new look builds on elements of the Thunder’s 2018-19 City Edition uniform, but this year’s version strengthens the connection to the state’s Native identity. At its core, the design blends historical symbols with modern aesthetics, telling a story of community, resilience, and shared pride. At the center of the jersey, interlocking geometric shapes form the letters “OKC,” symbolizing unity and strength. The duotone halves of the jersey are connected by water-like teeth inspired by the Oklahoma River, which binds the north and south sides of the city. On the waistband, a pattern of expanding squares reflects the growth of Oklahoma communities, borrowing influence from ceremonial regalia.
The uniform also features a hidden emblem on the right leg of the shorts: a turtle representing endurance and unity, its circular shell and arrow motifs pointing toward Oklahoma City and the four sacred directions. Sunset-toned sashes wrap across the shoulders and down the sides of the shorts, paying tribute to tribal resilience and shared identity. Meanwhile, the eleven geometric stars along the sides of the jersey and shorts carry forward stories passed through generations, weaving heritage directly into the fabric of the design.
Fans will get a chance to experience the uniform beyond the court thanks to a special showcase at the First Americans Museum. From August 21 through September 5, the museum will host a limited-time exhibit displaying the full uniform while offering fans the chance to win Thunder City Edition gear. Beginning September 6, the uniform will shift into a digital exhibit that runs through November in celebration of Native American Heritage Month.
The Thunder are also expanding the City Edition platform this season with an alternate City Edition court and designated City Nights theme games. Each Friday home game, starting December 5, will highlight the new look as the team takes the floor in the City Edition uniform on the specially designed court.
With its blend of history, symbolism, and community pride, the Thunder’s 2025-26 City Edition uniform isn’t just another alternate. It is a statement piece that honors the Indigenous heritage at the heart of Oklahoma and unites fans around the stories and traditions that continue to shape both the city and the legacy of Thunder Basketball.

The Bulls officially revealed their 2025-26 Statement Edition uniforms, a black-and-red pinstriped look that instantly calls back to their legendary dominance in the '90s. First introduced during the 1995-96 season, a year the Bulls went 72-10 and won it all, this iconic uniform design hasn’t hit the court since the 2012-13 season. Now, it’s back and reimagined for a new generation.
Chicago turned to a fitting face for the reveal: Dennis Rodman, who rocked the pinstripes alongside MJ during back-to-back championship runs. In a hype video with current Bulls Coby White and rookie Matas Buzelis, Rodman got his hands on the new look and summed it up perfectly:
“These are nice. I remember when we first introduced this. It was legendary, man. These jerseys right here are legendary. It's not even a throwback — it’s brand-new for the new generation. This is gonna be really cool for Chicago … this brings back memories.”

the Utah Jazz introduced "Mountain Basketball," a brand philosophy that has shaped Jazz culture since 1979. This new direction reflects Utah's unique spirit by combining a passion for basketball, a dynamic and growing community, and the influence of the state’s mountainous landscape on daily life. Alongside this announcement, the Jazz unveiled their primary uniforms for the next two seasons, showcasing a prominent use of purple and mountain symbolism. New colors in the expanded palette include Mountain Purple, Midnight Black, and Sky Blue.
"Our branding will always be an iterative process as we, our fanbase, and the game of basketball continue to grow," said Ryan Smith, governor of the Utah Jazz. For the 2024-25 season, the Jazz will sport four uniforms—two new designs and two existing ones. The current white Association Edition jersey will be worn throughout the season. The existing black Statement Edition jersey will be replaced by a new black design in January 2025, featuring the Mountain Basketball color palette. The 2024 City Edition will introduce a refreshed purple mountain design.
In the 2025-26 season, the Jazz will debut a new primary white Association Edition and a purple Icon Edition uniform, along with the black Statement Edition from January 2025. These uniforms lean into classic mountain imagery, and three designs prominently feature the bold UTAH logo on the chest. The iconic Jazz Note remains central across all uniforms, apparel, and team imagery, with #TakeNote continuing as the rallying cry.
