Man City Celebration Jersey

Nike is celebrating the six major trophies that Manchester City has won during their six-year-long partnership. To honor the success, Nike created this limited-edition Nike x Manchester City celebration jersey. The design of the jersey pulls inspiration from nine of the team’s looks, which include the 2017-18 centurion season home shirt.

Rising star Phil Foden is one of the select few that has worn every single jersey produced within Nike’s six-year partnership with Manchester City.

"My personal favorite is the home jersey from last season. I made my debut wearing that, so it means a lot me," says Foden. "It’s great because the fans will be able to point out the jerseys and relive the memories created in them."

We will see the shirt debut on the pitch as a pre-match option in the English Premier League.

adidas Seams Event

adidas invited the UNISWAG crew to attend the ‘adidas Seams’ event that was a fashion show where adidas challenged a group of stylists and designers to create their own twist on the Major League Soccer jerseys. Each of the designers came from different backgrounds in fashion and brought a different twist on their creations. The event took place in the heart of Los Angeles’ Fashion District, City Market. The area was transformed into the adidas & MLS hub where sport, fashion and culture intersected. Through the fashion show, the 2019 collection was transformed by designers Sara Gourlay, Andrew Andrade, Pierre Davis of No Sesso and Corey T. Stokes. The looks and designs were presented by athletes and models such as volleyball star Alix Klineman, LAFC star Lee Nguyen and Deng.

“As a brand that puts the creator first, we couldn’t be more thrilled with the reinterpretation of this season’s MLS jerseys. Each look was pulled together through a vision unique to each stylist involved and they truly championed the idea that soccer embodies an inclusive spirit. Being at the epicenter of sport and culture, last night was a powerful reflection of the brand’s ethos and we look forward to continuing on this path that fuses performance with creativity.” - Jennifer Valentine, Senior Director of adidas Soccer in North America

After the show there was an after-party with music provided by DJs Noodles and Odalys. The venue itself housed a pop-up MLS Fashion Lab where guests were able to see the kits and customize their own gear.

Atlanta United FC MLS Championship Rings

The Atlanta United FC has received their 2018 MLS Championship rings. Each ring is made from 10-karat white and yellow gold and feature 101 white diamonds that create a cascading waterfall effect on the ring top. We see an additional 14 yellow diamonds that form the “A” which sits atop the five stripes. Across the top and bottom of the ring there is a yellow gold train tracks as an ode to Atlanta’s railroad history. On the left side of the ring the club motto: “UNITED & CONQUER” is displayed in yellow gold. A unique element within the design lies a Golden Spike, a matchday tradition and a sacred moment connecting the supporter directly to the player.

Nike 2019 National Team Kits

Nike has revealed 14 National Team kits that we will see hit the pitch this summer for the 2019 World Cup. This year’s home and away kits for the teams are specifically made for the women’s teams, not as extensions of the men’s kits. This marks the first time since nike began working with the WWC tournament in 1995 that each women’s team will get their own look. The newly designed cut for the kits was created specifically for the women athletes to allow them to preform at their highest level while eliminating distractions and allowing the athletes to be comfortable. Additionally, all of the Nike football kits have been made from recycled bottles.

“We believe this summer can be another turning point for the growth of women’s football and our bigger ambition is for that energy and participation to extend into all sports. Nike’s commitment is to continue our leading support of competitive athletes, invest in the next generation at the grassroots level and deliver more innovative and compelling product design for women.” - NIKE, Inc. Chairman, President and CEO Mark Parker

2019 USWNT World Cup Kits

The US Women’s National team will compete in France for the World Cup. The team has revealed their new kits that they will wear for the historic event. The 2019 kits channel the energy of the 1999 team and all its championship glory. The all-white home kit will have a shirt that features a stripped sleeve cuff inspired by those worn by Brandi Chastain, Mia Hamm and Julie Foudy, as well as three stars above the crest in honor of the USA's world titles from ’91, ’99 and 2015. We see this theme followed up on the shorts with three stars stacked on each side similar to the the single star adorning the sides of the 1999 uniform. Knit tape on the back of the neck also displays the three stars. On the back panel of the home shirt we find a tonal gray print formed from each of the 50 states, as a symbolic reminder that the United States has their back.

For the away uniform the national team will rock a red shirt and shorts with blue socks. The shirt is highlighted by an abstraction of the American flag and the three shining stars. Inner pride on the away shirt reads “One Nation, One Team.”

Special Jerseys for U.S. Women’s National Team

The US Women's National Soccer team wear special jerseys in honor of the SheBelieves Cup. Each member of the U.S. Women’s Team selected the name of a woman who has inspired them and will wear that name on the back of their jersey. We see the choices ranged from Nobel Prize winners, to artists, athletes and trailblazers. Including Cardi B, Jennifer Lawerence, Sally Ride, Elena Delle Donne, Doris Burke, Mother Teresa, and Beyonce to name a few.

“SheBelieves is a movement that originated in 2015 in the lead up to the FIFA Women’s World Cup. It was created with the goal encouraging the female leaders of tomorrow to chase their dreams. The theme of women supporting women is one the U.S. players passionately believe in, so with the SheBelieves Cup and Women’s History Month occurring concurrently, the timing is perfect for a celebration of groundbreaking women.” -USWNT
