FDU’s Macron Soccer Kits Connect Campus, Community and New York City
FDU soccer is giving fans the opportunity to wear the same designs as its student-athletes, with authentic current-season uniforms now available for purchase. Created through the Knights’ partnership with Macron, the kits bring together a local landmark, school traditions and details specific to FDU soccer.
FDU became the first United States school to sign with Macron, opening the door to this retail offering. Fans can now purchase the soccer kits at FDUKnights.com/soccerkits and take home a design built around the program’s identity.
The George Washington Bridge is a central inspiration for the uniforms. Located just 5.2 miles from campus, the bridge represents the connection between FDU and New York City, where soccer players regularly take advantage of the experiences and opportunities nearby. That connection also carries into the program’s uniform photography, with athletes pictured in front of the landmark that helped shape the design.
School tradition appears at the collar through the words “Our Swords Held High.” Taken from FDU’s fight song, the phrase brings a familiar rallying cry into the uniform itself. It is a small detail that gives the kits a direct connection to the wider Knights community.
The FDU Shield adds an identity unique to the soccer program. The crest represents the school’s founding, giving the uniforms a historical reference while establishing a distinct mark for FDU soccer. It also fits naturally within the sport’s tradition of using crests to represent a club or team.
A chain link pattern runs throughout the uniform, drawing from FDU’s broader branding. The links represent both the armor worn by a Knight and the connections that unite a campus.
