Miami’s Special Edition Parley A1 Uniform

The Hurricanes and adidas unveiled the new environmentally-conscious alternate uniform for the 2018 season. The team will suit up in the first-ever football uniform made from repurposed and upcycled materials as part of Parley for the Oceans. "The Parley A1 football uniform is composed of over 70% regenerated ECONYL® yarn; a raw material transformed from fishing nets and other nylon waste intercepted in marine environments." - adidas.

To accompany the new Parley A1 uniforms the players will wear the adizero 7.0 or FREAK parley cleats and gloves that feature recycled materials as well.

“Our players and staff are excited to wear the new adidas Parley jerseys and gear for our season opener. We’re also excited that adidas and Parley are teaming up with UM to help promote sustainability around the world,” said Mark Richt, University of Miami Head Football Coach. “Community service has always been an integral part of our football program, and this partnership with adidas and Parley helps us continue those efforts.”

We will get our first look at the alternate uniform in the Hurricanes' season opener against Louisiana State University.

New Oregon Uniforms

Oregon Football has released their new set of uniforms with the Oregon Football 2.0. Oregon and Nike have brought back the fan favorite winged helmets in four colors Green, Yellow, Chrome, and Black. Nike looked to amplify the speed and explosiveness with punishing, physical play philosophy with these uniforms that show strength and dominance through clean, bold reliance on solid colors. We see a much larger number font on the uniforms called "Mighty Oregon" font with a reflective style stripe down the middle. The wings have been removed from the shoulders and the names on the backs are on different color plates.  Keep an eye out for Oregon to mix and match these color schemes and throw in some more flare throughout the season.

"These designs are a representation of Coach Cristobal's direction for the football program: no-nonsense, discipline, strength and speed," said Todd Van Horne, Nike's creative director for football. "This uniform reflects those values."
