The Utah Jazz have introduced a new lineup of uniforms for the team going forward. The new look is meant to embrace the spotlight while replicating the past.
The purple mountains have returned to the uniform lineup for the Jazz, becoming an instant fan favorite. The white and black unis are inspired by the white and black keys on a piano, which is a key figure in the history of Jazz music. The team’s yellow jersey represents the spotlight designated to the greatest performers in history, and a nod to the fact that Utah embraces being in the spotlight with all eyes on them.
The final two looks “Dark Mode” with “UTAH” on the chest, a white version with the Note, and a yellow variation with “JAZZ” on the chest. Each uniform set features extra large jersey numbers on the front and back. The black shorts have JAZZ in satin shine material on the waistband, while the white and yellow shorts feature UTAH.
“Purple is back and here to stay. This uniform collection features the return of our cornerstone color purple, which will be integral to our new designs in future Jazz seasons. Purple is beloved by our fan base and lives at the core of our identity. Alongside our newly painted courts, these fresh yet familiar looks speak to our great history and dynamic future.” - Jim Olson, president of the Utah Jazz
The Cleveland Cavaliers have introduced a refreshed brand identity. The new logo set embodies the Cavs history pulling inspiration from different eras. The new colorway of wine, gold and black brings back the reflective, shiny Cavaliers gold from the early 80s.
“Through the years there have been layered interpretations of the Cavs logos and color hues to represent the brand. In thinking about the next chapter of where to go with the design, the approach was to compose distilled versions of the logos to create a refreshed identity.”- Daniel Arsham Creative Director
The transition to the new brand identity will start for the 2022-23 season, including new Cavaliers Statement, Icon and Association Edition uniforms to be unveiled later this summer.
