The Boston Celtics have introduced their new City Edition uniform. The special look pays homage to Bill Russell’s legacy with the Celtics. The Celtics wordmark on the front of the jersey was inspired by the Boston establishment, Slade’s Bar & Grill, which was famously owned by Bill Russell in the 1960s. There are 11 gold diamond icons down both sides of the uniform, signifying the number of Celtics NBA championships Russell won. We see the diamonds overlayed on black trim, which features the famed Celtics parquet floor pattern tonally. The number 6 is on the belt buckle of the shorts with 11 gold diamonds around it honoring Russell being the NBA player with the most championships in NBA history.
The Purdue Boilermakers Men’s Basketball team has revealed their new uniforms for the upcoming season. The team released two sets of uniforms, a black and a white set. The two looks feature the Purdue wordmark arched across the chest with the player’s number located below it. Both uniforms are trimmed out in gold. The shorts feature the Purdue P on the hip, giving another touch of branding.
The Memphis Grizzlies have unveiled their new Statement Edition uniform for the upcoming season. The look blends the current uniform design with the iconic Beale Street Blue coloring. We see in the design work mark grab inspiration from the 2001 Memphis jerseys along with the addition of the ‘Memphis Soul’ side panel and the MEM pattern. Across the chest is the is the 2001 wordmark with the neon inspired inlines and Memphis in gold. Down the right side is the MEM pattern. The belt buckle now features the singular MEM, a nod to the City’s airport code and inspired by the shipping containers found throughout Memphis.
For the Portland Trail Blazers new Statement Edition Uniform the team called on the help of all star Damian Lillard to design the new look. The uniform will feature the primary Pinwheel logo on the front of the jersey for the first time in team history. The red jersey and shorts will have a unique pinwheel hashmark design down the sides in black.

The Kansas Jayhawks have introduced new uniforms for the upcoming season. The team released a new white and blue set of threads. The biggest change on the new look will be a large stripe all the way down the side of the jersey running into the shorts. In honor of the programs 125th year, a special patch will be on both sets of the uniforms. The patch is located on the right side and features a blue basketball with the number 125 set within.
The San Jose State Spartans will have new threads when they hit the hardwood this season. The team will have three different sets of uniforms to choose between with white, black and blue options. The white and black options feature Spartans across the chest with gold, white and blue trim seen throughout the uniform. The blue jersey features the San Jose State wordmark under the a silhouette of the skyline. All three jerseys are paired with matching shorts that have the Spartan spear head on the sides.
The Arizona Wildcats Men’s Basketball team will hit the hardwood this coming season in new uniforms. The look may be familiar to some Wildcats fans as the it is based off the same unis the team wore in the mid-1980s and into the early 1990s. Across the front of the jerseys is the Arizona wordmark on both the blue and white uniforms. The shorts feature the CATS logo on the left side with the Arizona Block A on the right side. The finishing touch comes with the word LUTE in gold lettering on the inside bottom of the back of the jersey as a nod to Coach Lute Olson.
The ECU Men’s Basketball team will have some new threads this coming season. The Pirates have refreshed their uniform options with four new looks. The new white, gold and purple uniforms feature the old school Pirates script across the chest, along with old school drop shadowed numbers. The black uniform has East and Carolina split with the players numbers in between the words with a more modern font.
The Phoenix Suns have revealed their 2022-23 Statement Edition uniform. The new black uni will replace last season’s orange uniform. Across the chest of the jersey is the PHX logo in white with an array of sunset colors outlining it. The neckline, trim and numbers of the jersey will have a pixelated color gradient pattern that we have seen used on “The Valley” uniform in the past. On the shorts we see a black SUNS logo running vertically down the sides outlined in the same sunset gradient coloring. To finish off the uniform a bottom band on the shorts will have the pixelated ombre coloring.
The Denver Nuggets have introduced their new 2022-23 Statement Edition uniform. The look is an evolved version of the fan favorite Mile High City uniform we have seen the Nuggets wear in the past. The new Mile High City uniform features two gold strikes included in the Nuggets’ global icon logo as well as the secondary Mile High City logo, both being featured on the chest. The jersey number, which was previously shaded in white, will now be in sunshine yellow, meant to reflect the 300-plus days of sunshine Denver annually receives. The finishing touch comes with the addition of flatiron red trimming out the different elements.
