The Washington Wizards have introduced a fresh new look for the 2024-25 season with their “Beyond Boundaries” City Edition uniforms. Building on the “boundary stone” theme introduced last season, this new uniform celebrates Washington, D.C.'s historic legacy and boundary-breaking spirit, with an emphasis on a future without limits. With a bold "hydrogen blue" base and thoughtful details that connect the past and the present, the Wizards’ latest threads have both a compelling story and a striking appearance.
The “Beyond Boundaries” uniform pays homage to Benjamin Banneker, the African American mathematician and astronomer who, in the 18th century, placed 40 stone markers around Washington’s original boundary. Last season’s uniform honored Banneker’s work, and this year’s design extends the theme with updated colors and patterns. The timing of the uniform’s unveiling on Banneker’s birthday highlights the Wizards’ commitment to honoring his legacy.
Six stars appear down the side of the jersey, with three representing Banneker’s triangulation of the first boundary stone, tying back to his mathematical contributions. The blue ripple effect on the trim further symbolizes the movement and energy that defines D.C., radiating out to the greater DMV area.
One of the most noticeable elements is the unique “hydrogen blue” color—a shade that has never before appeared on an NBA uniform. According to the Wizards, the color represents the energy and flow that D.C. brings to the region, capturing the city’s vibrant and evolving character. This “hydrogen blue” is complemented by the ripple effect pattern along the trim, creating a visual link to the powerful impact that Washington has had and continues to have on the surrounding areas.
The jersey’s typography also connects to history. “District of Columbia” is written across the chest in a typeface inspired by 18th-century map lettering, echoing the city’s historical roots. The same font style is used for “DMV” on the buckle of the shorts, grounding the uniform in both city and regional pride.
A remix of the Wizards’ City Edition logo, featuring a boundary stone replacing the Washington Monument, appears on the shorts and connects the uniform’s theme back to the team’s identity. With their new City Edition threads, the Wizards emphasize that "no boundaries can contain us,” merging the city’s groundbreaking history with a modern look for a team that represents the heart of D.C.
The Wizards will showcase the “Beyond Boundaries” uniform 19 times this season, debuting the look on December 1 in a home game against the Dallas Mavericks on a themed court. Fans can look forward to seeing the Wizards celebrate the energy, resilience, and history of Washington, D.C., every time they take the court in these powerful new uniforms.

As the Chicago Bulls gear up for the 2024-25 NBA season, they’ll be hitting the court in a City Edition uniform that pays homage to their beloved home arena, the United Center. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the United Center has been a fixture in Chicago sports culture, and this new uniform is designed to honor the arena’s legacy and architectural details, making it a true fan favorite.
The City Edition uniform captures the United Center’s distinct style, with design elements that connect to the venue’s iconic features. The jersey itself is a crisp white, with brownish-tan and gray accents drawn from the United Center’s exterior color scheme. The wordmark “BULLS” and player numbers are styled in the exact fonts seen in the arena’s signage, grounding the design in the UC’s aesthetic.
One standout detail on the jersey is the front tag, a nod to the famous marquee outside the arena, which originally read, “Home of The Bulls.” This marquee was a significant feature when the arena opened and has become part of its identity. The uniform’s look is classic and timeless, mirroring the enduring appeal of the United Center itself.
The side panels of the jersey feature stripes in brownish-tan hues, and the shorts have a similar striping pattern in homage to the Bulls’ unforgettable starting lineup introductions at the United Center. The shorts are adorned with the Bulls logo in a pentagonal shape, representing the spotlight that hits each player during pre-game intros, creating a powerful visual connection to that electric moment before tip-off.
Another notable feature is the waistband of the shorts, a tan design that subtly references the architectural style of the arena’s windows. The light and dark tan colors resemble a Union Jack pattern but are a direct tribute to the United Center’s unique structural elements, adding an unexpected yet meaningful touch to the uniform.
With its clean lines, classic color scheme, and thoughtful nods to the architecture and history of the United Center, the Bulls’ 2024-25 City Edition uniform stands as a tribute to both the team’s home and its fans. Every design choice, from the font to the colors and the side panels, has been crafted to honor the arena that has hosted countless iconic moments in Bulls history.

— Boston Celtics (@celtics) October 22, 2024
Boston Celtics fans witnessed a momentous occasion Tuesday night as the team raised Banner 18 to the rafters at TD Garden, commemorating their 2024 NBA Championship. Along with the celebration, fans and players were introduced to the 2024 Championship rings, an exquisite creation in collaboration with Jason of Beverly Hills. The rings are not only a tribute to the Celtics’ rich history but also a marvel of craftsmanship, laden with symbolic details that reflect the team's championship run.
The rings feature 18 emerald-cut diamonds on the outer bezel, representing each of the franchise’s 18 NBA championships. Additionally, 84 points of diamonds on the side bezel symbolize the Celtics' impressive playoff winning percentage during their title-winning season.
On the inner bezel, 16 emerald-cut diamonds represent the number of playoff wins in 2024. The results of the 2024 playoff series are etched into the inside of the ring's shank, immortalizing the team’s path to victory.
The face of the ring is adorned with 30 points of diamonds within the word "world," signifying the 30 seasons the Celtics have played at TD Garden. Meanwhile, 80 white diamonds embellish the word “champions,” honoring the Celtics’ combined 80 wins in the regular season and playoffs.
In a nod to Celtics tradition, the ring features the famed parquet floor pattern etched into both sides. The years of the Celtics' past championship seasons line the perimeter of the ring, weaving the team’s storied past with their latest triumph.
Each player’s ring has a personalized side, showcasing their name and number. Flanking each name are two diamonds, representing the Celtics’ total championships under current ownership. On the team side, the ring displays the combined 80-21 record for the 2024 season.
The mantra of the 2024 Celtics, “Whatever it Takes,” is proudly engraved on the side of the ring. Adding to the exclusivity, there are two hidden elements that can only be revealed when the ring top is removed. The inside of the ring top holds a piece of the Celtics’ parquet floor, along with the date and score of the championship-clinching game. Additionally, the championship banner and each player's jersey number are also embedded inside the ring.
For the first time in history, each Celtics ring includes an NFC chip. When scanned with a phone, the chip reveals a personalized video showing the creation process of the ring, offering recipients a unique glimpse into its design and craftsmanship.
Jason Arasheben, CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills, spoke about the collaboration: “We worked closely with the Celtics ownership on the design. With 17 championship rings already, we all wanted to make sure the 18th ring was the best and most memorable.”
As the Celtics embark on their next season, these rings stand as a symbol of the team's tradition, grit, and excellence, while also incorporating innovative elements that reflect the modern era of sports.
Celtics fans and players alike will cherish this piece of history, a fitting tribute to an unforgettable season.

California Destiny | @bibigoUSA pic.twitter.com/5V0Iy1h3Vu
The Los Angeles Lakers have revealed their brand-new City Edition uniform for the 2024-25 NBA season. This exciting new look is set to make its debut in the Lakers' home game against the Orlando Magic on November 21.
In a historic move, the new uniform features the words “Lake Show” across the chest for the very first time. This design element pays tribute to the Lakers’ identity as a team that doesn’t just win but does so with unmatched flair and style. It's a nod to the vibrant personality of the franchise, which has become synonymous with entertaining basketball and a winning tradition.
The "California Destiny" uniform takes inspiration from the Lakers’ evolution in Los Angeles, building on last season's "California Dream" theme. While the "California Dream" uniform celebrated the team’s early days in the city, "California Destiny" symbolizes what the Lakers have become—a world-class show that blends elite basketball with electrifying presentation.
This season’s City Edition design embraces the connections between the Lakers and the city of Los Angeles, representing how the team has grown to embody the heart and spirit of LA. It’s not just about basketball; it’s about a shared destiny that links the Lakers' legacy with the energy and aspirations of their city.
One of the standout features of the "California Destiny" uniform is the gradient color progression, marking the first time the Lakers have used such a design. The uniform transitions from black to purple, symbolizing the Lakers' 65-year journey in Los Angeles. This gradient trim along the edges varies from player to player, giving each uniform a unique look while maintaining a cohesive theme.
The jersey numbers pay homage to the past, reflecting the same style used between 1999 and 2017—a golden era that saw the Lakers secure five NBA championships. The gold satin twill bordering the numbers adds a touch of glamour, mimicking the bright lights that shine down on the Lakers’ home court in the heart of Los Angeles.
In addition to the new uniforms, the Lakers have unveiled their first City Edition court, which will provide the perfect backdrop for the “California Destiny” uniform’s debut. This new court design complements the bold style of the uniforms, creating an atmosphere that honors both the history and future of the Lakers franchise.
As the Lakers prepare to step onto the court this season, they’re not just showcasing new gear—they’re embracing their legacy as a team that represents the soul of Los Angeles. With "Lake Show" boldly across their chests, the Lakers are ready to make a statement both on and off the court, solidifying their place as the ultimate blend of sport and spectacle.
