Wisconsin Basketball Unveils New “By the Players” Uniform

The University of Wisconsin is putting creative control back in the hands of its athletes. The Badgers men’s basketball team unveiled their latest “By the Players” alternate uniforms, a tradition that continues into its sixth edition for the 2025-26 season.

The By the Players series is unique in college basketball each year; select student-athletes work directly with Under Armour designers to craft a uniform that reflects the team’s identity, values, and culture both on and off the court. This season, juniors John Blackwell and Nolan Winter led the creative direction, collaborating closely with Under Armour to bring the 2025-26 look to life.

The new alternate uniforms will make their debut at the Kohl Center when Wisconsin hosts in-state rival Marquette for their highly anticipated I-94 rivalry game on Saturday, December 6.

For the Badgers, the By the Players collection has become more than just an alternate uniform; it’s a statement of empowerment, pride, and teamwork, showcasing how collaboration between athletes and brand partners can bring a program’s spirit to life.
