adidas has revealed the 2019 All-American Bowl uniforms for the top high school football players to wear. The uniforms for this year are inspired by the videogame culture, with multi-color static patterns from videogame glitches, TV screen color bars, broadcast static and other irregularities that might be seen while playing a videogame or watching TV.
“Videogames can have bugs, anomalies, glitches, unlocked achievements and even cheat codes that can have a jaw-dropping effect on gameplay. Those same types of things can happen with athletes and big plays on the field in real life. A player is here one second, gone the next; uses a juke right, spin left combo; hurdles another player in full stride; showcases crazy breakaway speed; or does something that may seem unrealistic, unfair or freakish in nature and on the TV screen.” - adidas
The Primeknit A1 Football Uniforms are highlighted with the multi-color static pattern on the numbers and shoulders, while the base of the uniforms will be black and white, creating a signature look for the 2019 All-American Game. We will see the West team wearing white and the East team wearing black.

We wanted to keep the uniform traditional and true to Notre Dame, but dial it up to pay homage to the school's history with gold, and mark this incredible accomplishment" - Nick Billiris, Senior Design Director of Team Sports at Under Armour

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are set to take the field at the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, Texas. This will be the first time a non Nike affiliated school has reached the College Football Playoffs. The appearance also marks the debut of their latest uniform design construction, the ArmourGrid uniform.
The ArmourGrid material forms the core of the jersey. Drawing inspiration from the military-grade parachute construction that needs to be both lightweight and strong. The ArmourGrid is comprised of a matrix formed from high tensile-strength threads encapsulating lightweight material. The result is a slim silhouette that wraps the front panel, back panel and sleeves, areas where stretch is not needed. The new material helps each player remain elusive, whether they are in the trenches with the linemen or skill players evading tacklers. We will see multiple other Under Armour schools wearing the ArmourGrid technology this bowl season.
"Players have told us that with ArmourGrid, hands just slide off the shoulders, back and waist like they've never experienced before. The material leaves defenders grasping at air, where otherwise they'd get a fistful of jersey."- Kyle Blakely, VP Materials Innovation
