Hornets Unveil “Hoopers Paradise” City Edition Uniform

The Charlotte Hornets have unveiled their 2025–26 Nike NBA City Edition Remix uniform a bold and colorful celebration of basketball culture across the Carolinas.

As part of the NBA’s league-wide effort to bring back or remix previous City Edition designs, the Hornets are reviving their popular “mixtape” City Edition uniform from the 2021–22 season, now reimagined in a vibrant new orange, blue, and yellow colorway. The striking palette draws inspiration from the Bird of Paradise flower, named in honor of Queen Charlotte, symbolizing the dynamic energy, creativity, and growth of basketball throughout the Carolinas, a region fittingly dubbed a true “Hoopers Paradise.”

The spirit of this remix shines through in a full creative campaign that launched alongside the reveal, featuring LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel, Brandon Miller, and Grant Williams, with a launch video narrated by the legendary Coach Mike Krzyzewski.

“From the very beginning, our uniforms have been bold, fashionable, and distinct, and this year’s uniform is no different,” said Seth Bennett, Hornets Sports & Entertainment Chief Marketing Officer. “Hoopers Paradise pays tribute to the culture, courts and fans who live and breathe basketball across the Carolinas.

The 2025–26 City Edition Remix uniform tells a layered story of evolution blending nostalgia with modern flair to celebrate the Hornets’ journey from their 1988 debut to today.

Jersey Front: Features a script “Charlotte” wordmark, first seen on the 2021–22 City Edition uniform, calling back to the pennants that hung behind the original Hornets uniform reveal in 1988.

Typography: The numbers use the team’s current Hornets font, while the player names appear in the classic Hornets typeface, creating a perfect harmony between eras.

Number Placement: The right-justified front number is a nod to the Bobcats era (2004–2009, 2012–2014), an often-overlooked chapter of Charlotte basketball history.

Anthem Detail: The phrase “EST. 1988” is embroidered in the classic Hornets font above the jocktag — a proud reminder of the franchise’s roots.

Shorts: One leg showcases a classic Hornets logo, while the other features a script “Hornets” wordmark. The waistband includes an “H” logo with “Buzz City” written across it — a subtle salute to the secondary waistband mark found on the original 1988 uniforms.

Fans will see the Hornets take the court in the City Edition Remix uniforms for 12 home games at the newly transformed Spectrum Center this season. The debut comes on Saturday, November 15, when Charlotte hosts the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Each of these City-themed nights will feature a full-court experience including a new “Hoopers Paradise” court design with the classic Hornets logo at center court, “Charlotte” in vintage script on the apron, and for the first time ever, a map of North and South Carolina integrated into the hardwood.

The 2025–26 City Edition Remix uniform is more than just a jersey it’s a love letter to Hoopers Paradise, a reflection of where Charlotte basketball has been and where it’s headed next.

Tennessee Unveils 'Volunteer Spirit' Smokey Grey Uniform

Tennessee Football is once again blending tradition, state pride, and service into the fabric of its game-day look with the unveiling of the 2025 edition of its Smokey Grey Series. This year’s theme, “Volunteer Spirit,” pays homage to the deep-rooted legacy of military service within the state of Tennessee, while honoring the brave individuals who have answered the call to protect and serve.

Set to debut on November 15, 2025, when the Volunteers host New Mexico State for their annual Salute to Service game, the uniform celebrates the backbone of the Tennessee identity: the spirit of service and sacrifice.

The “Volunteer Spirit” design draws on centuries of tradition, starting with one of Tennessee’s most legendary figures—Davy Crockett. Known as the “ultimate Volunteer,” Crockett and more than 30 Tennesseans gave their lives at the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. That legacy lives on in what Tennessee Football proudly wears on the field.

Prominent in the design is “The Davy Stripe”, a stylized take on Crockett’s famous fringed frontier uniform. It runs alongside the bold orange center stripe on the helmet and lines the sleeves of the jersey, adding a nod to Tennessee’s frontier past and military valor.

The uniform features a two-tone Smokey grey jersey and pant set, evoking the forged steel and tactical precision of military equipment. The stencil-style numbers on the chest, shoulders, and helmet echo standard military typography, while the word “Volunteers” is stitched boldly across the chest—a statement of both heritage and honor.

The helmet and pants also feature the return of the fan-favorite “Star Vols” logo, this time reimagined as a military-style patch, connecting Tennessee’s football identity with a respectful nod to our nation’s service members.

A custom Tennessee Tri-Star logo honoring the 134th Air Refueling Wing was created specifically for this edition, serving as a visual bridge between the state’s identity and its military strength.

This marks the fourth version of the Smokey Grey Series, a tradition launched in 2022. From the “OG” debut at LSU, to 2023’s “Artful Dodger” tribute to Condredge Holloway, and 2024’s “Volunteer State” uniform inspired by the Tri-Star flag, each edition has told a meaningful story.

Tulane Unveils 'City Edition' Uniform

Tulane Football is taking its hometown pride to a whole new level. The Green Wave revealed their City Edition uniform and a stunning hand-painted helmet that the team will wear for this year’s Homecoming game on Saturday, November 15. These special-edition looks celebrate the culture, history, and unmistakable spirit of the Crescent City.

The centerpiece of this year’s City Edition release is the hand-painted helmet, created by renowned artist Armando Villarreal. The Tulane helmet captures the essence of New Orleans. The light gray base features cracked detailing inspired by the city’s historic sidewalks, while the street tile font spelling “Tulane” on each side pays homage to the city’s iconic signage. Hand-painted Mardi Gras beads wrap around the shell, giving each helmet its own unique personality; no two are exactly alike. A wrought iron-inspired stripe runs across the top, echoing the elegant designs found throughout New Orleans architecture. Even the back warning label nods to the Sewerage & Water Board logo, adding a hidden touch only locals will recognize. The front bumper completes the look, boldly reading “Uptown” in tribute to the home of Tulane Football.

The uniform complements the helmet’s artistry with equally thoughtful design details. The Tulane blue jersey features wrought iron accents on the shoulders, paired with white pants that carry matching striping down the sides. Player names are displayed in authentic New Orleans-style street tiles, and inside the collar, a hidden message reads “Welcome to Uptown,” a phrase synonymous with Green Wave Football. These City Edition uniforms and helmets will be worn only once, making them true collector’s items. Fans can secure their own through the Wave Warehouse, with items shipping after the November 15 Homecoming game. Every purchase helps fund NIL opportunities and support the next generation of Tulane student-athletes.

From the cracked sidewalks to the Mardi Gras beads, every inch of this design tells a story of creativity, culture, and community. This isn’t just a uniform; it’s a love letter to New Orleans.

Patriots Unveil Storm Blue Rivalries Uniform

The New England Patriots have revealed their Rivalries uniform, a storm blue look that blends regional pride, franchise history, and iconic New England imagery. Inspired by the fog that rolls through the region, the design serves as both a nod to the six states that make up New England and to the dynasty that delivered six Super Bowl titles.

Around the neckline sit six red stars — one for each state and each championship. The details continue across the shoulders and pants with reflective silver stripes, representing beams of light shining from the Gillette Stadium Lighthouse. Towering 218 feet tall, the lighthouse is the tallest nontraditional lighthouse in the country, and it stands as a beacon for fans across the region.

Additional touches tie the uniform back to both heritage and legacy. A silver “NE” patch sits on the sleeve, while the neckline carries the iconic phrase “We Are All Patriots,” first spoken by owner Robert Kraft following the team’s Super Bowl XXXVI victory in the wake of 9/11. The numbers feature perforated stripes and embroidery in a subtle callback to the Drew Bledsoe era uniforms.

The set is completed with silver pants, giving the look a sleek and modern finish.

For the on-field debut, it’s only fitting that New England will wear the Rivalries uniform against the New York Jets, one of the fiercest rivalries in the NFL.

“Patriots vs. Jets isn’t just another game on the schedule — it’s a battle of pride, history and two fan bases that want nothing more than to see the other side walk off the field disappointed,” said Hall of Famer and former linebacker Andre Tippett.

With regional pride stitched into every detail, the Patriots’ Rivalries uniform is a fresh take on tradition — and a bold new way to represent New England on the biggest stage.

Miami Football Unveils “Cradle of Coaches” Uniform

Miami University football is stepping onto the field with a look as storied as its tradition. On November 12, the RedHawks will debut their new Cradle of Coaches uniforms, a striking tribute to the program’s rich history of leadership, innovation, and excellence.

Trading their familiar red-and-white look for a design steeped in legacy, Miami’s special edition uniforms feature red, white, and gold stripes on both the jersey and pants. The iconic red helmet adds a gold face mask and a throwback arched block “MIAMI” wordmark, a nod to the design used from the 1920s through the 1970s across multiple sports.

“Miami has long been home to the Cradle of Coaches, legendary figures who set the gold standard in the game of football,” said Miami Director of Athletics David Sayler. “We are honored to pay tribute to their legacy with these very unique uniforms.”

Each jersey also includes a gold NFC chip patch, an innovative addition that digitally commemorates the Cradle of Coaches legacy. The nickname itself was coined by Bob Kurz, a 1958 Miami graduate and former sports information director, whose 1983 book “Miami of Ohio: The Cradle of Coaches” chronicled how Miami alumni revolutionized the sport through their leadership on and off the field.

The RedHawks will debut the uniform under the lights at Yager Stadium on November 12, when they host Toledo in a key MAC matchup.
