UCF has released their latest space themed uniform. The Mission VI space uniform has gone to the dark side with its black colorway. The black helmet is meant to emphasize the void of deep space with the dark black helmet. On each side is the UCF stack logo with the Canaveral Blue to black Polaris star transition. The gradient is a representation of the blueshift, that is seen when a celestial object moves closer to us. The decal stripe will feature each player’s missions that they have previously been part through the UCF Space uniform.
A custom number font was created for the jerseys based off the transit method for detecting an exoplanet. Across the chest we see Space U above the numbers. The shoulders on the black jersey have a special stripe that is bent to create a silhouette of the Spitzer Space Telescope, along with the two exoplanets UCF discovered listed on either sleeve. The black pants have a futuristic pattern that was based on the Transit Method graphic and Spitzer solar panels. With the design fading from blue to dark gray.
The Purdue Boilermakers Men’s Basketball team has revealed their new uniforms for the upcoming season. The team released two sets of uniforms, a black and a white set. The two looks feature the Purdue wordmark arched across the chest with the player’s number located below it. Both uniforms are trimmed out in gold. The shorts feature the Purdue P on the hip, giving another touch of branding.
The ECU Pirates have revealed a special look for their homecoming game on October 15th. The special look was designed by senior Will Treadway and takes different elements from the past dating back to the 1970s. The purple jerseys feature blocked numbers as a nod to the 1980 uniforms with white numbers and a gold drop shadow. The workmark PIRATES lettering across the chest ties three decades of uniform elements together. We see the striping pattern from the 1990’s on the sleeves, pants and helmets.
The white helmet will have purple cursive Pirates logos on each side that were worn during the 1970's. To go along with a gold face mask, two purple and one gold stripe down the center of the helmet as well as the ECU 1990's logo will be placed on the helmet bumper.
"I designed a "Modern Throwback" uniform with the intention of connecting multiple decades of Pirate Football. I used elements from different Pirate uniforms from 1970 until now to represent multiple generations of Pirate Fans. This look is both to celebrate our past and get fans excited for the future. The BYU Cougars have revealed special hand painted helmets. The royal blue helmet features the BYU classic Y with mountains painted below it on one side. The other side is a shot of a hand painted cougars face. A white facemask and chinstrap will round out the custom helmets.
The helmet will be paired with white jerseys and pants to finish off the look.
The Chicago Bears have unveiled their new alternate orange helmet. The helmet will be similar to the traditional navy blue helmet with the wishbone C logo on either side but in navy outlined in white.
"We believe we have the best uniforms in sport, certainly among the most iconic. So, we're not looking to overhaul it. We just want to make enhancements to the existing look from time to time and we think this is a great enhancement. I'm very excited for this modification. I like that it's staying within the traditional Bears look. We're excited about them and hope the fans will be too." -Bears Chairman George H. McCaskey
The Bears will wear the new orange helmet for two games in 2022, Oct. 13 vs. the Washington Commanders at Soldier Field and Oct. 30 in Dallas against the Cowboys.
The Air Force Hockey team has revealed their special Space Force uniform. The look was first seen on the football field (see here) and will now make its way over to the ice. The helmet for Air Force hockey is a special gradient coloring that is meant to mimic ‘coming into light’. We see two lighting bolts on the top which are shared imagery between USAF and USSF. The black jerseys feature the AF logo on the front with special patches from operational Deltas at Bucley and Peterson-Shriever Space Force Bases. On the right upper chest is a 20 year anniversary patch for the Atlantic Hockey Conference. Running down the legs on either side is the USSF mark, finishing off the look.

The Arizona State Sun Devils have officially revealed their tan alternate uniform for the upcoming season. The look was inspired by the sunrises and desert landscape found in Arizona. The front of the jersey features a script Sun Devils with a retro drop shadow. The numbers feature the same drop shade affect and are in a gold ombre coloring. The Sun Devils script has also been placed on sides of the helmet to finish off the look for Arizona State.
The Sun Devils will take the field in the alternate look on October 8th when they play the Washington Huskies.
The Memphis Grizzlies have unveiled their new Statement Edition uniform for the upcoming season. The look blends the current uniform design with the iconic Beale Street Blue coloring. We see in the design work mark grab inspiration from the 2001 Memphis jerseys along with the addition of the ‘Memphis Soul’ side panel and the MEM pattern. Across the chest is the is the 2001 wordmark with the neon inspired inlines and Memphis in gold. Down the right side is the MEM pattern. The belt buckle now features the singular MEM, a nod to the City’s airport code and inspired by the shipping containers found throughout Memphis.
