The new design takes its design-inspiration from the city of Barcelona by incorporating the characteristic blocks of the Eixample district, to create the checkerboard pattern. New Kits for West Ham United

West Ham United has revealed their home and away kits for 2019-20. The new kits have been inspired by the 1980 FA Cup team. The kits give off a retro feel with a twist for the younger generation of fans. We see the home jersey come in V-neck with the team’s light blue across the chest and shoulders with claret stripes and a claret colored bottom half. To finish off the home look the team will wear claret shorts with a full color crest.

The all-white away kit will bring some nostalgia for older fans. The shirt is white with a claret and blue striped V-neck and cuffs, the 1980 crest graphic is located on the back of the neck, and completed by classic white shorts and socks.

“To wear this shirt, especially with the West Ham badge on it – it takes an honest player, hard-working, a player that leaves everything on the pitch and plays for the crest on the shirt. When you play for this Club, you join a family and players do realize that this is not just an ordinary Football Club, this is a great Football Club, with a great history, and the shirt represents just that.” -Club captain Mark Noble
