The Boston Celtics have officially revealed their 2025-26 Nike NBA City Edition uniforms, giving fans a fresh take on tradition while honoring the team’s championship-rich history.
This year’s design steps away from the franchise’s signature green, opting instead for a crisp white-and-gold look that symbolizes Boston’s unparalleled 18 NBA championships, the most in league history. The black trim outlining the names and numbers adds sharp contrast, while a special touch sits at the bottom of the jersey: the signature of legendary coach Red Auerbach, a fitting tribute to the architect of Boston’s winning culture.
The Celtics’ City Edition uniforms have long leaned into the franchise’s storied past. Fans may recall the 2020-21 alternates, inspired by the championship banners hanging in the rafters of TD Garden. This year’s set continues that tradition, blending history with a clean, modern design meant to shine under the bright lights of Boston’s next title chase.

Cue the nostalgia — and the old gold. West Virginia University is throwing it all the way back to 1965 with a special edition uniform that’s more than just a retro look. It's a tribute to one of the most storied seasons in Mountaineer football history — and a design that has never truly been replicated... until now.
the 1965 throwback uniform marks a first-of-its-kind effort from WVU: a true historical replica that brings to life the textures, tones, and traditions of a team that not only dominated the Southern Conference but lit up the scoreboard in a record-setting Backyard Brawl.
“It was an opportunity to do a true throwback, which we haven’t done,” said WVU deputy director of athletics Matt Wells. “We thought with the unique nature of that helmet, and the helmet logo with the baby blue, it was probably the most unique element of any of the past uniforms that we could potentially replicate.”
It’s what turned heads then, and it’s what turns heads now: a three-dimensional navy blue WVU logo, outlined in gold, laid atop a light-blue silhouette of the state of West Virginia. Set against an old gold shell, it looked ahead of its time back in ’65 — like technicolor in a black-and-white world.
The helmet design was so iconic that WVU athletic director Wren Baker made it a personal mission to revisit the look as soon as he spotted it in the Hall of Traditions.
“The inspiration really came shortly after Wren got here,” Wells said. “He was familiarizing himself with the history of Mountaineer football, and he saw the 1965 helmet on display… that started a conversation of, ‘Hey, what can we do with that?’”
Some versions of the original helmet had a single blue stripe, while others didn’t. Split end Bob Dunlevy recalled, with a laugh, that the inconsistency probably came down to the infamous resourcefulness of longtime equipment manager Carl Roberts.
“I kept my helmet because I needed it to play in the North-South game after the season,” Dunlevy said. “I’m sure Carl was probably after me to return it, but I kept it, and I still have it.”
The throwback uniform does more than just replicate an old look — it marks 60 years since WVU’s 1965 conference championship season, a year highlighted by the highest-scoring Backyard Brawl in history, a 63-48 win over Pitt.
While the look came from the past, the design process was very much rooted in the present. Kristin Coldsnow, the creative force behind WVU’s recent themed uniforms, was brought back to lead the design — ensuring everything from the shade of blue to the state outline was authentic. She worked closely with Nike to match every detail.
Equipment staffer Austin Blake helped perfect the helmet’s bumper colors and logo placement, while WVU’s internal uniform brain trust — including Michael Fragale and Joe Swan — all contributed during the design phase.
The Philadelphia 76ers are turning back the clock in a big way for the 2025-26 season. The team officially unveiled its Nike NBA Hardwood Classic Edition uniform. The all-black look is a faithful throwback to the uniforms worn during the unforgettable 2000-01 season, a year that saw Allen Iverson lead the Sixers to the Eastern Conference title and an NBA Finals appearance.
That team, coached by Larry Brown and anchored by stars like Iverson, Dikembe Mutombo, Eric Snow, and Aaron McKie, left an indelible mark on the franchise and the city of Philadelphia. Former Sixer Eric Snow reflected on what the uniform means to him:
“Some of my favorite memories came when I was wearing this uniform. I enjoyed every moment of playing for my childhood team. This uniform represented the connection of players with the city and 76ers fans. Although we didn't accomplish our ultimate goal, I'm still thankful for the time I played in the 76ers uniform. Even now, I still meet people wherever I go who speak about the passion they had for our team and that run.”
The 2025-26 Hardwood Classic Edition uniform mirrors the 2000-01 design while being built on Nike’s updated performance chassis, engineered for today’s NBA athletes. From the bold black base to the retro typography and signature detailing, the kit brings back all the nostalgia while keeping performance front and center.
Lara Price, COO of the 76ers, spoke about the uniform’s meaning: “This uniform is more than just a piece of fabric; it represents an era of franchise history that embraced a distinct identity and captured the attention of the entire city. To see these uniforms back out on that court will bring back a lot of nostalgia, and we are excited to share that in many different ways with our fans this season.”
The Sixers will debut the Hardwood Classic Edition uniform and themed court on Saturday, Nov. 8, when they host the Toronto Raptors at Xfinity Mobile Arena. In total, the team will celebrate with 14 “25th Anniversary Celebration” nights presented by Crypto.com, featuring the throwback uniforms, custom merchandise, and special tributes to members of the 2000-01 squad.
The uniform will also make appearances on the road, with six additional games against playoff contenders from that storied season.
With the return of one of the most iconic looks in franchise history, the 2025-26 Sixers season promises to be a nostalgic celebration for fans in Philly and beyond.
Boise State is bringing art to the gridiron. For its Sept. 27 showdown against App State, the Broncos will debut the “Front Porch of Idaho” hand-painted helmet, a one-of-a-kind design that pays tribute to the beauty of Boise, The Blue, and the state of Idaho.
The helmet, crafted by artist Armando Villarreal, wraps around Boise State’s iconic blue shell with intricate white airbrushing accented in the Broncos’ signature orange. Every detail tells a piece of Idaho’s story:
Right Side: A galloping Bronco charging forward, symbolizing strength and tradition.
Left Side: The Idaho State Capitol framed by the scenic Boise foothills and the “City of Trees.”
Back: Albertsons Stadium and its world-famous blue turf above the Boise River, complete with tree-lined landscapes.
Finishing Touches: A bold orange flash in the Bronco’s eye and the end zones, plus a front bumper etched with “208,” representing both Idaho’s area code and the height of the Capitol dome.
The Arizona Cardinals are bringing the storm to the desert. On June 5, the team unveiled their new Rivalries uniform, a look forged by sand, heat, and grit set to debut under the lights on Thursday Night Football when they host the Seattle Seahawks.
Running back James Conner, fresh off a video shoot where movie magic transformed him into the middle of a sandstorm, summed up the new fit perfectly: “Desert vibe, the sand, everything plays into it. The copper, the details, I just think it’s awesome. The perfect fit.”
The Cardinals teased a storm for more than a year, and now it’s here. The Rivalries uniform captures Arizona’s harsh but beautiful landscape:
Sandblasted matte helmet with a 3D birdhead logo and copper beak.
Tan, red, and copper color palette, echoing both the Desert Cardinal and the commerce that built the state.
Arizona state flag within the outline of the state on the shoulder.
Design elements inspired by the desert’s resilience — from scorching heat to swirling sandstorms.
Owner Michael Bidwill called the uniform a true embodiment of Arizona’s toughness: “The design reflects the strength and toughness required to thrive in the desert and celebrate the passion and perseverance that define us. The sandstorm imagery is a fitting metaphor for our identity as a team and a region.”
Quarterback Kyler Murray didn’t hold back either: “I told (equipment manager Jeff Schwimmer) these were the best jerseys we’ve got. Probably the best jerseys I’ve seen us wear. They turned out perfect.”
Linebacker Zaven Collins echoed the fan-first vision: “I feel like this is something the Valley wanted and everyone will love it.”
The Cardinals are among the first eight teams, along with the rest of the NFC West and AFC East, to take part in the Rivalries program, Nike’s new multi-year initiative that celebrates the culture, history, and communities that fuel the NFL’s most storied matchups. Each team’s Rivalry uniform will be worn once a season for the next three years, with other divisions joining in from 2026 through 2028.
For the Cardinals, the Rivalries debut isn’t just about a new look. It’s a statement. Forged in desert heat, built to withstand the storm, and designed to showcase Arizona’s identity to the world.
Friday night in Charlottesville is shaping up to be one of the biggest games Scott Stadium has hosted in years. No. 8 Florida State comes to town, and Virginia is marking the occasion by turning back the clock in a big way.
With the 2025 season marking the 25th anniversary of UVA’s legendary goal-line stand against then-No. 2 Florida State, one of the program’s all-time upsets, the Cavaliers will take the field in throwback uniforms inspired by that iconic moment.
Unveiled in a high-energy video featuring former QB Mike Groh and current receivers Jahmal Edrine and Trell Harris, the new uniforms are a clean and simple nod to the past. The blue jerseys feature old-school “V” sleeve details, paired with classic white pants and navy lids for a timeless combo. The vibe is all 1995, and it’s already drawing rave reviews from fans and media alike.
The Brooklyn Nets have paired bold basketball moves with equally bold fashion statements. Since their move from New Jersey to Brooklyn in 2012, the Nets have embraced culture and creativity on the hardwood. Over the years, they’ve worked with collaborators ranging from KAWS to Jean-Michel Basquiat’s estate to deliver some of the league’s most memorable uniforms.
Now, the team is reviving one of its most beloved looks: the Notorious B.I.G.-inspired “Brooklyn Camo” jerseys, originally worn during the 2018-19 season.
The “Brooklyn Camo” design features Coogi-inspired multicolored striping down the sides, a nod to the legendary rapper’s signature style. The look was created in partnership with Biggie’s estate and quickly became a cult favorite, though limited production made them tough to find the first time around.
This season, the uniform is returning as part of the NBA’s new Remix program, which brings back some of the most popular City Edition jerseys from past years. For the Nets, the decision was easy. “We get constant requests from fans to bring back these uniforms,” said Andrew Karson, head of marketing for the Nets’ parent company, Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. With demand never fading, the return of “Brooklyn Camo” feels like a natural fit.
The Nets are going all-in on celebrating Biggie’s legacy this season. Alongside the uniforms, the team will debut a custom court to match the theme, and the estate of the Notorious B.I.G. is helping organize a series of “Biggie Nights.” These games will feature halftime performances by artists with ties to Brooklyn or to Biggie himself, deepening the connection between the team, the borough, and its most iconic voice.
“Biggie is the loudest, coolest Brooklyn voice ever,” said Elliot Osagie, CEO and founder of Benin City Entertainment, which manages Biggie’s estate. By tying their brand to the late rap legend, the Nets continue to ground their identity in the borough they represent on and off the court.
The Washington Wizards have revealed their 2025-26 City Edition uniform. The team will debut the look on Sunday, November 16, when they host the Brooklyn Nets at Capital One Arena.
This year’s Encore City Edition pays homage to the Wizards’ iconic gold alternates worn between 2006 and 2009, while pushing the design forward through the 2021 Mixtape Edition chassis. Featuring a bold black and gold colorway, the uniform captures the energy of the mid-2000s while symbolizing the monuments lit across D.C. at night.
“Uniforms using the gold and black colorway has been a request from the fans as well as players since the City Edition concept debuted years ago,” said Rebecca Winn, Sr. Vice President of Wizards Marketing. “When Nike directed us to remix a former City Edition, we immediately thought of the classic Wizards uniform first worn in 2006. We think this version will look great on the team and on the court and the fans will be excited about the uniform and accompanying merchandise offerings as well.”
The jersey features reimagined striping across the shoulders and chest, echoing the 2006-2009 design with a modern twist. “Washington” is spelled across the front in the standard Wizards font, anchored by the silhouette of the Washington Monument. A sharp black outline runs along the neckline, shoulders, and numbers, contrasting against the gold base.
The shorts continue the theme with black side panels and waistband, accented by interior gold. The belt buckle showcases a revamped Wizards ball logo that blends retro inspiration with modern flair. On the left leg, the “DMV” insignia makes its return, symbolizing the unity of D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. The right side features the D.C. hands logo in white with a gold outline, framing the gold basketball against a black backdrop.
Alongside the uniform, the Wizards will also roll out a matching City Edition court that will be used during all City Edition games. Fans can expect to see the team wear this look 29 times throughout the season, cementing the black-and-gold as a staple of the Wizards’ identity for 2025-26.

The Edmonton Oilers gave fans a special surprise at their sixth annual Fan Day, unveiling a brand-new alternate jersey that will hit the ice during the 2025-26 season. Blending Fanatics’ modern innovation with a nod to the region’s industrial roots, the look pays tribute to Oil Country in a way the team has never done before.
The alternate features a light tan base that carries a broken-in, workwear-inspired feel, representing the grit and determination of the industries that built Northern Alberta. A bold blue collar serves as a symbolic reminder of the hardworking spirit of Oil Country, while oil drop details can be found throughout—from a scripted “s” to a subtle tag sewn on the back hemline.
A special patch salutes the dedication and work ethic of the region’s industries, further connecting the jersey to the people who power the community. Nostalgic design cues evoke trusted heritage brands that once fueled machines and workplaces across the area.
