Oregon Reveals “Grateful Ducks” Limited-Edition Game Ball

In true Oregon fashion, innovation meets nostalgia with the release of the limited-edition Nike Vapor Elite “Grateful Ducks” game ball, created in collaboration with the Oregon Football program. The exclusive ball will make its on-field debut on October 25, 2025, when the Ducks take on Wisconsin at Autzen Stadium during the team’s highly anticipated Grateful Ducks game, a celebration honoring the 60th anniversary of the Grateful Dead and their deep roots in Eugene.

Between 1974 and 1994, the Grateful Dead performed at Autzen Stadium ten times, leaving a lasting mark on the city’s culture and its connection to creativity, freedom, and community. This game and its signature ball pay tribute to that shared spirit.

Handcrafted by Big Game Football Factory, the “Grateful Ducks” Nike Vapor Elite game ball blends Oregon’s bold, performance-driven DNA with the free-spirited artistry that defines the Grateful Dead. The standout feature: the iconic “Stealie” duck skull, a one-of-a-kind fusion of Oregon’s vibrant green and yellow with the Dead’s legendary lightning bolt logo, a design that bridges generations of Ducks fans and Deadheads alike.

The ball features bright yellow and green Nike Swoosh detailing set against dark Playoff leather, creating a striking contrast under the Autzen lights. Built for precision and control, the game ball also includes SRS high-grip white rebel laces and precision-stitched white stripes, giving players the elite feel and accuracy expected from Nike’s top-tier Vapor Elite model.

Every detail was designed to capture the sound, soul, and swagger of Oregon football, all while celebrating one of the most unique cultural crossovers in college sports.

From Autzen Stadium to your collection, this ball encapsulates the spirit of Oregon football: bold, creative, and unapologetically different. Whether you’re displaying it, gifting it, or holding it as a piece of Ducks history, the “Grateful Ducks” game ball stands as a tribute to performance, pride, and the powerful connection between sports, sound, and soul.

Limited quantities available, a true collector’s piece celebrating Oregon’s most vibrant game of the season.

Chicago Unveils 2025-26 City Edition Uniform

The Windy City is getting a remix. The Chicago Bulls have officially unveiled their 2025-26 Nike NBA City Edition uniforms and retail collection, a look that pays tribute to the team’s first-ever City Edition uniform from 2017-18 while introducing a bold new twist.

The 2025-26 design flips the script on the original fan-favorite by inverting the base color from white to black and swapping the classic red font for Chicago blue, creating a modern remix of an instant classic. As part of this season’s NBA City Edition Remix campaign, each of the league’s 30 teams is revisiting a past design, and Chicago’s take perfectly bridges heritage and innovation.

“This year’s City Edition uniform is a love letter to our city,” said the Bulls’ design team. “We wanted to honor the fans, the streets, and the pride that defines Chicago basketball.”

The new City Edition uniform draws direct inspiration from the city’s identity, from its skyline to its flag. Every element tells a story:

“Sweet Home” sits along the bottom left of the jersey, a nod to Sweet Home Chicago and the team’s deep roots in the city.

Four blue stars line the right side of the jersey, symbolizing the stars of the Chicago city flag.

The “Chicago” script font slants at a 45-degree angle, a subtle tribute to the city’s unique street grid, connecting everything from the United Center to Lake Michigan.

This black-based uniform brings swagger and nostalgia in equal measure, channeling the soul of Chicago with a colorway that’s as sharp as the city itself.

The Bulls will debut the new City Edition uniform on December 3 vs. the Brooklyn Nets, marking the first City Edition Night of the season.

Each City Edition Night will feature live performances by local artists and exclusive fan activations, including complimentary patch heat-pressing on City Edition hats purchased in the Madhouse Team Store.

Timberwolves Bring Back Prince-Inspired Uniforms for 2025-26 Season

The Minnesota Timberwolves are turning up the purple once again. In collaboration with the Prince Estate and Nike, the team announced the long-awaited return of their Prince-Inspired City Edition uniform, one of the most beloved designs in NBA history.

Originally unveiled in 2018, the purple-drenched look instantly became a fan favorite, celebrating the life, legacy, and unmistakable sound of Minnesota’s own Prince. Now, as part of the NBA’s 2025 Nike City Edition Remix campaign, the iconic uniform is making a comeback complete with new experiences both on and off the court.

This year’s rollout is bigger than ever. From a custom-designed court featuring Prince’s famous Love Symbol at center, to in-arena performances by artists who collaborated with him, the Timberwolves are going all in on honoring the legend who helped define Minnesota’s cultural identity.

The Prince uniform will make its season debut on Saturday, November 15, when the Timberwolves host their first-ever Prince Night at Target Center. Fittingly, the team will wear the jersey seven times this season — a number that carries deep symbolic meaning in Prince’s artistry.

“Prince was a genius, an innovator, and a proud Minnesotan,” said L. Londell McMillan, Prince’s longtime attorney and representative of the Prince Estate. “Seeing this uniform return is a powerful reminder of his lasting influence on the Twin Cities and a connection to a new generation of fans.”

“Bringing this uniform back was an easy decision,” added Matt Caldwell, CEO of the Timberwolves and Lynx. “Prince was a huge Wolves and Lynx fan, and a symbol of excellence. We’re proud to honor his legacy in a way that brings fans together and lights up the season in purple.”

Just like the original 2018 edition, the returning uniform blends subtle nods to Prince’s legacy with Timberwolves identity:

Paisley detailing on the left short vent, inspired by Paisley Park.

Faux studded pattern on the right shoulder, mirroring Prince’s Purple Rain jacket.

“MPLS” on the left leg — a tribute to the Minneapolis Sound.

Tonal purple logos, a stylized “Wolves” chestmark, and a custom number set inspired by the Love Symbol.

DALLAS MAVERICKS BRING BACK CLASSIC GREEN UNIFORM

As part of their 45th anniversary celebration, the Dallas Mavericks are throwing it back to one of the most beloved looks in franchise history, the green uniforms worn from 1981 to 1991. These retro jerseys will make their return as part of the team’s Hardwood Classics collection for select games this season.

The Mavs entered the NBA in 1980, debuting with a traditional color scheme: white uniforms at home and blue road uniforms with green trim. But when the team flipped the design for the 1981 season opting for green road jerseys with blue and white accents the look became an instant classic and a lasting part of Mavericks history.

The new Hardwood Classic edition stays true to the original 1980s design with a few modern updates. The green base is complemented by a royal blue and white striping pattern around the neck and arm openings. Across the chest, DALLAS appears in a bold white script with blue and white outlines, while the numbers below mirror that same double-bordered style in a rounded vintage font.

On the back, the name and number maintain the clean white treatment, sitting beneath the NBA logo. The cut follows Nike’s current design chassis, giving the jersey a slightly modern silhouette while maintaining its old-school charm.

The retro vibe carries through the matching green shorts, which feature a thick blue/white/blue waistband and side panel striping to match the jersey. At the hem, the same tri-color stripe pattern wraps around the base. The throwback “Cowboy M” logo a hallmark of early Mavericks branding appears proudly on the left leg, completing the nostalgic design.

With the return of these green classics, the Mavericks are not just honoring their history they’re reminding fans why these uniforms have remained one of the cleanest, most iconic looks in franchise history.

Cleveland Cavaliers Bring Back Mid-2000s Look for 55th Season

The Cleveland Cavaliers are turning back the clock for their 55th season, celebrating their rich history with the return of one of the franchise’s most beloved looks, the navy, wine, and gold alternate uniforms worn from 2003 to 2010.

Designed in collaboration with Nike, the Classic Edition uniform pays homage to the era of Daniel “Booby” Gibson, Žydrūnas Ilgauskas, and Anderson Varejão, three fan favorites who helped define mid-2000s Cavs basketball. This retro-inspired look will join the team’s current lineup of uniforms, which includes the Icon (Wine), Association (White), Statement (Black), and City Edition sets, for the 2025-26 NBA season.

The Cavaliers’ new Classic Edition serves as a direct throwback to the mid-2000s alternates, a look that itself paid tribute to the iconic “Miracle of Richfield” uniforms from the 1970s. This season, the Cavs will spotlight the 2006–07 campaign, a pivotal year that saw the team make its first-ever NBA Finals appearance led by a young LeBron James.

The new set brings back the deep navy blue base complemented by wine and gold accents — a color palette instantly recognizable to longtime fans.

The front of the jersey features “CLEVELAND” across the chest in bold white lettering with gold trim, framed by the Nike Swoosh on the right and a Cleveland-Cliffs sponsor patch on the left.

The player names and numbers appear in the same white-and-gold treatment on the back, maintaining the team’s signature mid-2000s typography.

The shorts include the iconic sword-pierced “C” logo, paired with the classic wine and gold striped trim, drawing a direct line to the Cavs’ vintage heritage.

Together, the uniform captures the spirit of a golden era in franchise history — while introducing a sleek, modern refresh for today’s generation of Cavs fans.

To complete the retro feel, the Cavs have also unveiled a special Classic Edition court that will be used during designated games this season. The design revives elements from the mid-2000s court, including the wine basketball and sword logo at center court, flanked by “Cleveland” on one baseline and “Cavaliers” on the other.

The team’s “LET EM KNOW” mantra will line the sideline, and the Rocket Arena logo, along with the throwback flag-style “C” mark, will appear throughout the hardwood, blending nostalgia with modern flair.

Cavs fans can catch the Classic Edition uniforms in action during nine home games and three road games this season. The first look will come on Wednesday, November 5, when Cleveland hosts the Philadelphia 76ers at Rocket Arena.

Oregon Unveils “Grateful Ducks” Uniforms for Tie-Dye Out at Autzen Stadium

The Oregon Ducks revealed special uniforms As part of Saturday’s “tie-dye out” at Autzen Stadium, the Ducks will take the field in special edition “Grateful Ducks” uniforms to celebrate the deep-rooted connection between Eugene and the legendary rock band, the Grateful Dead.

The uniforms feature bold green and yellow tie-dye numerals splashed across sleek black jerseys, blending the band’s free-spirited aesthetic with Oregon’s unmistakable flair. That same tie-dye pattern is carried onto the team’s helmets, where the Ducks’ iconic “O” logo is reimagined in swirling hues of green and yellow. The black helmets complete the look, creating a striking contrast under Autzen’s lights.

Adding to the story are intricate design details inspired by Grateful Dead iconography. Each shoulder of the jersey features a special patch combining the Ducks’ imagery with the band’s iconic Steal Your Face logo. Instead of the traditional red and blue, the lightning bolt and skull design is reimagined in Oregon green and yellow, with the skull replaced by a duck head and the lightning bolt curling upward into a Nike swoosh.

Inside the jersey collar, the Grateful Dead’s famous “dancing bears” have been given an Oregon twist, now appearing as “dancing Ducks.” The playful pattern also shows up on the rear bumper of the helmets, tying the entire theme together.

With Saturday’s tie-dye out, Oregon continues its legacy of blending sport, culture, and creativity into something truly unique. From the music to the uniforms, this weekend’s matchup is set to be one that both Ducks fans and Deadheads won’t forget.

Notre Dame Hockey Unveils New Alternate Jersey Featuring Sport-Specific Leprechaun Logo

The Fighting Irish are adding a new twist to their historic identity. Notre Dame has unveiled its second sport-specific Leprechaun logo this time for hockey and immediately placed it front and center on a brand-new alternate jersey for the 2025-26 season.

Following the debut of the Football Leprechaun logo back in August, the South Bend powerhouse revealed its new Hockey Leprechaun mark just ahead of the men’s team’s home opener.

Designed in-house by Fighting Irish Media with input from Notre Dame’s hockey program, the logo takes inspiration from photography, fundamentals, and playing styles of both past and present student-athletes. The result is a refined and energetic symbol that captures the toughness, precision, and tradition of Notre Dame Hockey.

The following day, the Irish took things a step further, unveiling a striking new alternate jersey featuring the fresh logo. The sweater boasts a crisp white base complemented by bold navy blue striping around the waist and sleeves. Inside those stripes lies a subtle green accent paired with a tonal Celtic knot pattern that gives the uniform depth and heritage.

Green shamrocks grace both shoulders, while navy blue names and sleeve numbers stand out cleanly. The back numbers feature navy blue with white and green drop shadows for added dimension, a small detail that goes a long way in defining the overall look. Of course, no Notre Dame uniform would be complete without the program’s signature metallic gold helmets, adding that unmistakable Irish shine.
