"My mom has always supported my dreams in every way that she knew how; through her love, her selflessness and by being there for me when I needed her most. This Mother's Day, I want her to know I can't thank her enough for all that she's done." - Bryce Harper
The other Under Armour baseball players will be wearing an exclusively designed colorway of the UA Yard, covered with messages and flowers inspired by children's artwork. The UA Harper 3 Mother’s Day cleats are available now.
Brooklyn Nets Point Guard, Spencer Dinwiddie, was ignored by the big sneaker companies early in his pro career. So he created and launched his own brand K8iros. This season he hit the court in his own footwear and each time had a one-of-a-kind custom pair that was painted by custom sneaker artist Kickasso.
We have seen Dinwiddie rock shoes that have honored Rosa Parks, Colin Kaepernick, Stan Lee, Frederick Douglass, Bruce Lee and even former President Barack Obama. Each design is inspired by the ideas of both Kickasso and Dinwiddie.
“The old adage is: look good, feel good, play good. You just feel good when you know you’ve got something nice on, something special. This year, in having my shoe, there was a different anticipation to it, looking to see how my peers would receive it. That was different. But there’s a sense of pride to it. It’s fun.” - Spencer Dinwiddie
When the #1 overall pick Kyler Murray hit the stage to accept his Cardinals jersey from the Commissioner he was rocking a custom 1-of-1 pair of shoes. Nike created the 1-of-1 custom PE Air Jordan 1 Lows with full patent leather that featured a pink embroidered Swoosh and a green light post embroidered on the heel. The light post was a nod to Kyler’s favorite movie, The Great Gatsby. To finish off the one of a kind pair of kicks the tongue showed off the Nike K1 logo along with the 2019 NFL Draft. We will keep you posted as Nike’s newest superstars rolls out more unique swag.
