Miami Football Unveils “Cradle of Coaches” Uniform

Miami University football is stepping onto the field with a look as storied as its tradition. On November 12, the RedHawks will debut their new Cradle of Coaches uniforms, a striking tribute to the program’s rich history of leadership, innovation, and excellence.

Trading their familiar red-and-white look for a design steeped in legacy, Miami’s special edition uniforms feature red, white, and gold stripes on both the jersey and pants. The iconic red helmet adds a gold face mask and a throwback arched block “MIAMI” wordmark, a nod to the design used from the 1920s through the 1970s across multiple sports.

“Miami has long been home to the Cradle of Coaches, legendary figures who set the gold standard in the game of football,” said Miami Director of Athletics David Sayler. “We are honored to pay tribute to their legacy with these very unique uniforms.”

Each jersey also includes a gold NFC chip patch, an innovative addition that digitally commemorates the Cradle of Coaches legacy. The nickname itself was coined by Bob Kurz, a 1958 Miami graduate and former sports information director, whose 1983 book “Miami of Ohio: The Cradle of Coaches” chronicled how Miami alumni revolutionized the sport through their leadership on and off the field.

The RedHawks will debut the uniform under the lights at Yager Stadium on November 12, when they host Toledo in a key MAC matchup.

Washington Unveils “Honor and Support” Uniforms for Salute to Service

Washington has introduced the Honor and Support uniform, designed as a powerful tribute to those who serve past and present, both on and off the field. The Huskies will wear the look on November 15 against Purdue during the 2025 Salute to Service game.

The uniform starts with a purple jersey featuring a camo pattern, paired with bold stencil numbers on the front, back, and shoulders. A military-inspired nameplate runs across the back, tying the design directly to service traditions.

On the lower half, the team will sport gold pants with the same camo detailing. The word DAWGS climbs up the side panel, while an Honor and Support patch sits on the right hip to reinforce the theme.

Finishing off the look, an American flag patch is stitched on the right shoulder of the jersey, bringing the tribute full circle. This uniform blends Huskies pride with a meaningful nod to the armed forces, making this year’s Salute to Service game one to remember.

The By the Players series is unique in college basketball each year; select student-athletes work directly with Under Armour designers to craft a uniform that reflects the team’s identity, values, and culture both on and off the court. This season, juniors John Blackwell and Nolan Winter led the creative direction, collaborating closely with Under Armour to bring the 2025-26 look to life.

For the Badgers, the By the Players collection has become more than just an alternate uniform; it’s a statement of empowerment, pride, and teamwork, showcasing how collaboration between athletes and brand partners can bring a program’s spirit to life.

San Antonio Unveils 2025-26 City Edition Uniforms

The San Antonio Spurs are turning back the clock and turning up the color. The franchise unveiled its 2025-26 Nike NBA City Edition uniforms and court, marking the return of one of the most beloved looks in team history: the Fiesta colorway.

First introduced in the 2020-21 season, the Fiesta design was inspired by the team’s vibrant 1990 warm-up jackets, which introduced the now-iconic paintbrush stroke emblem to Spurs Nation. This season, the team brings that energy back as part of the NBA’s City Edition Remix campaign, connecting today’s stars to San Antonio’s storied past while representing the culture that built it.

The 2025-26 City Edition uniform features the eye-catching teal, pink, and orange Fiesta stripes splashed across a classic black backdrop, while the “San Antonio” wordmark across the chest proudly centers the team’s identity. The shorts continue the Fiesta flair with matching side stripes, a perfect blend of retro and modern aesthetics.

The Fiesta celebration doesn’t stop at the uniform. The Spurs’ new City Edition court is a full-on throwback to the early 2000s, featuring the paintbrush stroke logo at center court for the first time since the team’s final season in the Alamodome (2002).

The Spurs will debut their 2025-26 City Edition uniforms and court on Wednesday, Nov. 12, when they host the Golden State Warriors at Frost Bank Center.

“This season’s City Edition jersey gives a new generation of Spurs players the honor of stepping into the city’s story and carrying it forward,” said Jordan Mandelkorn, Vice President of Marketing, Creative & Retail for Spurs Sports & Entertainment. “It’s about honoring San Antonio’s heritage while channeling the energy of what’s next.”

Texas Tech Unveils “GalvanICED” Uniform in Collaboration with Patrick Mahomes

Texas Tech football is turning up the heat with an icy new look. The Red Raiders will take the field in a brand-new GalvanICED uniform, the latest evolution of the program’s ongoing partnership with adidas and Texas Tech legend Patrick Mahomes.

This white version follows last year’s groundbreaking Mahomes Strategy uniform, which made history by featuring Mahomes’ signature Gladiator logo on official on-field gear, one of the first times a personal athlete brand was incorporated into college football uniforms.

The GalvanICED look flips the script from the original dark grey set, delivering a crisp all-white aesthetic accented by metallic details and Red Raider flair. The uniform integrates Texas Tech’s signature Power Red across the numbers and trim while metallic finishes give the helmet, logos, and numbers an electric shine under the lights.

As with last year’s design, inspiration comes from the 45-degree bevels found throughout Texas Tech’s campus architecture and the sharp angles of Mahomes’ personal brand. The result is a uniform that blends school pride with the edge of an MVP quarterback who has redefined the game.

When the Red Raiders hit the field on November 8 in GalvanICED, they’ll do so in a uniform that blends tradition, innovation, and superstar influence. With Patrick Mahomes’ brand at the heart of the design, Texas Tech continues to lead the charge in pushing the boundaries of what college football uniforms can represent.

UCF Launches 2025 Space Game Uniform

The tradition continues in Orlando, but this year, it’s going interstellar. The UCF Knights have unveiled their 2025 Space Game uniforms, themed Mission IX: HyperSpace. This annual celebration of the university’s ties to space exploration takes flight on November 7, when the Knights host Houston under the lights.

This year’s theme, Mission IX: HyperSpace, draws direct inspiration from the UCF HyperSpace Center, a cutting-edge research hub created in partnership with the U.S. Air Force. The center is at the forefront of hypersonics and space propulsion technology — the science that enables air travel at speeds between Mach 6 and Mach 17, or over 13,000 mph. Led by Professor Kareem Ahmed, a team of 40 undergraduates and 25 graduate students are transforming hypersonic flight from theory into reality, redefining what’s possible in both space exploration and aerodynamic design. The new Space Game uniforms bring that same mindset to the field: fast, bold, and built for the future.

At the core of this year’s design is a commitment to storytelling through detail. The center patch draws inspiration from HADES, the High-enthalpy Altitude-simulating Dynamic Experimental System, UCF’s hypersonic wind tunnel used for testing in the Mach 10 Oblique Detonation (MXOD) program. This detail connects the team’s on-field look to real-world innovation happening in UCF’s labs. The mission patch features a delta-shaped insignia that mirrors the aerodynamic form of hypersonic vehicles capable of Mach 17 speeds. Eight Polaris stars represent UCF’s previous eight Space Game missions, while a ninth, larger star symbolizes this year’s hypersonic breakthrough — the defining theme of HyperSpace.

The uniform’s design carries that same futuristic energy throughout. The sleeves and numbers visualize the concept of HyperSpace travel, symbolizing the push to make science fiction a reality. Reflective TV numbers, a traditional hallmark of UCF’s Space uniforms, return to add depth and dimension under the bright lights. The pant stripe proudly displays UCF’s alternate moniker, “SpaceU,” connecting the football program back to the university’s heritage as an institution built for the space age.

The helmet stripe continues the high-speed motif, taking inspiration from Mach diamonds, the brilliant formations that occur during high-speed combustion. This phenomenon, often replicated in UCF’s own high-speed combustion experiments, creates a stunning visual metaphor for power, precision, and progress. Finishing the design, the back bumper carries the phrase “Citius Est Futurum” — Latin for “The Future is Faster.” This unofficial motto of the MXOD program perfectly encapsulates UCF’s mission to push beyond what’s possible and redefine the limits of human achievement.
