FC Bayern will have a new jersey to honor the team’s 120-year anniversary. The new look is a modern interpretation of one of the most significant jersey in the club’s history. The design drew its classic inspiration from the 1932 jerseys that were worn during the club’s first ever German Championship winning season. The jersey features burgundy sleeves and collar on a white based jersey. Off-white badge details and muted branding designs were used to retain the minimal appearance of the jersey.
We will see the jersey hit the pitch on March 8th at home.
The Chicago Fire FC has introduced their secondary kit for the 2020 season. The design pulls inspiration from Chicago’s municipal flag, the Chicago Fire Department trucks, the club’s 2000 secondary kit, and the Club’s three tenets; Tradition, Honor, Passion. The white based jersey will also feature a unique “Stand for Chicago" patch series that will rotate through twelve different patches throughout the season. Each patch will showcase iconography or phrases that are unique to Chicago. The new away kit comes in with a clean white look to contrast the club’s new navy and red home kits.
Inter Miami CF has unveiled their first-ever home Major League Soccer jersey. The jersey is inspired by the wings of the great white heron, along with pink accents to reflect the “vibrant soul of South Florida”. The details of the jersey include; embossed herons that represent freedom and strength and the club mantra “Freedom to Dream” located on the inside of the collar. The jersey’s font was designed by Rick Banks, a lead designer at the Face37 (an award-winning graphic design studio in England) and created to be dynamic, energetic and bold with a layering tri-line effect.
Jacksonville University Men’s Basketball team will pay tribute to the 1969-70 National Finalist team. The green based uniform features a unique jersey that shows the players numbers above the Jacksonville wordmark. Both the jersey and shorts feature gold and white trim to match the lettering and numbers. The looks gives a modern take on a classic look for the team.
The Florida Gators Baseball team has introduced a new retro uniform into their rotation. To celebrate the final season at McKethan Stadium, Florida Baseball will wear their new throwback uniforms for Sunday games. The white uniform features the 'Florida' script across the chest, along with orange numbers, that pay homage to the uniforms worn by Gators teams in the early years of McKethan Stadium.
The Maryland Lacrosse team is getting ready to start their 2020 season. To kick off the new season the team will debuting a new helmet. The white base lid will have Terps written on the sides in the Maryland font with the Maryland Flag bar under it. The center stripe pays tribute to the state flag that has become a staple of the Maryland teams uniforms. On the facemask of the bar is the finishing touch with “Be the Best” written out.
Oregon Baseball is heading into the 2020 season with plenty of cleat options for the Ducks. The team boasts over ten unique cleat styles to start the season. Being Nike’s flag ship school the players and fans have come to expected that the Ducks will always have the latest Nike products. There are sure to be a few mid season surprises that we will keep you updated on.
LeBron hit the hardwood rocking the LeBron 17 low “Tune Squad” edition kicks when the Lakers took on the Nuggets. The red, white and blue colorway features a shaggy grey fur Nike swoosh that’s a nod to the Tune Squad’s biggest star, Bugs Bunny. On the inside of the shoes we see more tributes to the Tune Squad with “What’s Up Doc” on the inside of the tongue and The Tune Squad logo on the insoles.
The shoes look to be released Feb. 15, retailing for $160.
The Michigan State Spartans men’s basketball program won its second national title in 2000 and will honor that team with these special throwback uniforms. The uniforms feature a recognizable Greek-inspired key pattern used as a trim around the neckline, arm sleeves, waistline and the bottom of the shorts. We see the school’s green running into a stripe down the right side of the jersey and shorts, with it ending at the Michigan State “S.” On the left leg the Michigan State helmet logo is featured.
We will see the Spartan hit the hardwood in the retro look at home on February 15.
Arizona State Softball has revealed a new look for this season’s batting helmets. The new look will feature a giant Sparky head on either side of the white based helmet. While on the back of the lid we see the Sun Devils tag line “Fork ‘em”, along with the players number.
