The design is rooted in the history of the United States Navy’s six original frigates, led by the legendary USS Constitution, better known as Old Ironsides. Launched in 1797, the ship earned its nickname after enemy cannonballs bounced off its sturdy hull during battle, marking it as a symbol of unmatched toughness and resilience. More than two centuries later, it remains undefeated in battle and continues to serve as a proud representation of American naval strength.
That same fighting spirit is embodied in this limited-edition game ball, which will make its official on-field debut when Navy takes on Army on December 13, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Surrounding the laces, an intricate rope pattern includes 63 knots on each side, a total of 126 knots, honoring Navy’s 63 victories in the 126 historical matchups against Army. Even the iconography pulls directly from the USS Constitution, including the eagle emblem from the ship’s stern, six symbolic stars, and touches of copper reflecting the ship’s lower hull.
The material profile is equally premium. Made with red Horween leather, clutch stripes, white and red KR19 laces, and the unmistakable NAVY badge, this ball brings authenticity and craftsmanship together in a way that reflects both the Naval Academy and the history behind it.
